Today we’d like to introduce you to Miriam Valencia

Hi Miriam, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my real estate journey in 2019, navigating the challenges of COVID-19. Initially, I focused on providing invaluable resources to my clients, setting the stage for what was to come. As my career gained traction, I founded the MVP Group, where we assisted numerous families in real estate transactions.

Simultaneously, I ventured into personal real estate investments while laying the groundwork for Alumbra Properties, my own brokerage. Launched in September 2023, Alumbra has rapidly grown, welcoming nearly 50 agents who share our dedication to excellence.

At Alumbra, we specialize in collaborating with developers, independent builders, and boast a robust commercial division. Our agents are well-equipped and passionate, consistently delivering exceptional service to our clients. Moreover, we take pride in our commitment to giving back, with the Alumbra Heart and Hope committee dedicated to volunteer work and community assistance.

I am immensely proud of the strides we’ve made in such a short time, and I’m excited about the journey ahead as we continue to make a positive impact in the real estate industry and beyond.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been a blend of highs and lows, filled with valuable lessons and growth opportunities. Transitioning into real estate amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic presented unique challenges, forcing me to adapt and innovate in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Building Alumbra Properties from scratch has been a great learning experience where I’m constantly having to reinvent myself, requiring countless late nights and leaps of faith. As a single mother, juggling the demands of entrepreneurship with personal responsibilities has been a constant balancing act, one that has tested my resolve and determination. Yet, through it all, I’ve found strength in adversity and solace in knowing that every obstacle has only made me stronger.

I’m most proud of our ability to adapt and evolve, embracing change as an opportunity for growth. Our passion for creativity, openness to change, and dedication to supporting our agents drive our success.
