Meet Raghib Page

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raghib Page.

Raghib Page

Hi Raghib, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I lived in a multitude of places as a child, and I took a lot of photographs and videos to keep up with memories. Growing up my parents were in the US Army, and I was their army
brat, born in Heidelberg, Germany. From there, my family moved around a lot. Living in
California, North Carolina, Kansas, Virginia, and Washington, before calling the great state of
Texas home. Having to move so often meant having to attend new schools and make new
friends every few years. One of the ways I used to go about remembering the places and things
I had experienced was to take pictures of or record everything around me. Eventually, my desire
to keep up with old memories turned into the passion I have today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Finding the right university that fit me during my undergraduate career took some time, but the experience was worth it. I knew earning a bachelor’s degree would be essential to
whatever goals I pursued, and I found a home at the HBCU Texas Southern University, where
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV, and Film. I was also able to find a passion for
legal videography filming depositions and court reporting while at TSU.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Being a legal videographer and filming depositions has helped to inspire my passion for law. I have benefited from being a legal deposition videographer and a notary public, being
fully immersed and attentive to the process of litigation. Having first-hand dealings with the
importance that law has been fundamental in my personal aspirations. As a legal deposition
videographer, court reporter and notary public, I accurately record and edit deposition testimonies for
playback in court proceedings.

Any big plans?
I had the idea of pursuing a law degree on my mind already, but after becoming a legal videographer and court reporter my idea has become a goal. Intellectual property is created by artists like film makers through their unique ideas, and under intellectual property, concepts like copyright, privacy rights, publicity rights, and trademark come to life. And as someone
who has been in the business of photography and videography, the idea instantly hit
home and inspired me to want to pursue going to law school.
