Today, we’d like to introduce you to Chyna Bee.
Hi Chyna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have been – a self-taught hairstylist for over 18 years. I have known since I was 12 that I wanted to do hair. I started by doing my sister’s hair from doing cornrows in the hallway of my high school.
However, at the age of 19, I started to do it to make money in my mother’s house. I got so popular that I couldn’t do it at home anymore, so I eventually rented out a booth and started to build my clientele. Hair is all I know. It is truly a gift from God. I am 39 now, and I still do it for a living.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say struggles, but every few years, there’s always a technique to learn. Which I’m always okay with because I like challenges.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do all types of hairstyling, from weaves to wigs, sewing, frontal, etc, you name it! Everything but braids.

Yes! TikTok has changed the game. That’s my new Google. Lol.
