Hi Angel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely. I often reflect on the journey that led me to start my own volleyball club business, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. It all began because of the many athletes that I have had the opportunity to coach throughout my career, and the impact they have had on me continues to fuel my passion for the sport. After coaching at different clubs, God bestowed a vision upon me, and that’s where it began. I wanted to intertwine my career as a social worker with my career as a volleyball coach – my first step, begin my own club.
From the beginning, I always felt a calling to make a difference in the lives of young athletes, to create a space where they could excel in volleyball and grow as individuals. This calling was not just a passion but a purpose infused with a deep faith that God had a plan for me to impact the youth of our future positively.
Through moments of uncertainty and times of clarity, I leaned on my faith, trusting in God’s provision and wisdom. Every decision, from the smallest detail to the largest endeavor, was bathed in prayer, seeking His guidance and seeking His will above all else.
I am immensely grateful for the support of my husband, friends, and family who have rallied around this vision. Their encouragement and belief in what we are building at Fort Bend Fierce Volleyball Club have been a source of strength and inspiration.
Today, I hope that the impact Fort Bend Fierce Volleyball club has on young lives will be instilling confidence, fostering teamwork, and nurturing character—I am reminded that this endeavor is not solely mine. It is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of His grace working through each practice, each game, and each interaction with our athletes.
I give all glory to God for where I am today. It is His hand that has guided me through challenges and opened doors of opportunity. It is His love that sustains me and His purpose that ignites our goal of excellence.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business, especially in an area like running a volleyball club, has its challenges and victories. Like any entrepreneurial venture, there have been moments of smooth sailing and times when the road has been more challenging. Initially, there were hurdles to overcome, such as securing funding, finding the right location, and attracting initial members. However, through faith, perseverance, dedication to the vision, and of course word of mouth, we have been able to build something meaningful and impactful. Each challenge has been an opportunity for growth and learning, reinforcing my belief in the purpose behind my business. My commitment to giving glory to God in all things has been a guiding light, helping me navigate both the smooth and rough patches along the way.

Fort Bend Fierce Volleyball Club is a newly established volleyball club in Sugar Land, TX. At our club passion for volleyball meets our commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Founded on the values of F.I.E.R.C.E (fearless, intense, energy, resilience, courageous, effort) we pride ourselves in providing a holistic approach to volleyball training that nurtures not only athletic skills but also character, leadership, and resilience.

At Fierce, we offer private and semi-private lessons, camps and clinics, and competitive local, regional, and national travel teams.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my most cherished childhood memories is sitting beside my mother, as she recounted the extraordinary story of how I came to be named Angel Destiny.
My mother began with a tale that unfolded long before my birth—a dream she had of her own mother, my grandmother, who had passed away before I was born.
In this dream, my grandmother appeared with a message, “The baby inside your belly is an Angel, and her destiny has already been defined.”
Those words, spoken with a clarity that the child growing within her womb was not just any child, but an Angel destined for a purpose already defined by the heavens. I still remember being captivated by the idea that even before I was born, my life had been marked by a purpose greater than myself.
That memory has stayed with me over the years, a constant reminder that I am here for a reason, that my life is infused with a divine plan that I must strive to fulfill. It serves as a beacon of strength and determination during times of uncertainty, reminding me to persevere even when challenges seem insurmountable.
Whenever I feel like giving up, I think back to that cherished memory—the moment when my name was imbued with purpose and destiny. It fuels my resolve to keep pushing forward, knowing that I am guided by a higher being that has been whispered over me since before I took my first breath.
