It all began unexpectedly, as I initially embarked on my career path as a Human Resource Professional. However, fate had other plans in store for me, steering me towards a different trajectory that would ultimately shape my professional identity.
It was a pivotal moment when Shaun Rampersad, the esteemed CEO of the Ramps Logistics Group of Companies, recognized certain intrinsic qualities within me. He discerned the potential lying dormant beneath the surface – my innate extroversion and adeptness at forging connections transcending cultural and geographical boundaries. These traits, coupled with my unwavering determination to carve opportunities for our organization, prompted Shaun to advocate for my transition into the realm of Business Development for El Dorado Offshore.
Thus commenced my odyssey in this new domain, marked by a series of challenges and triumphs. Reflecting on the genesis of this chapter, I recall my inaugural foray into engaging with clients within the Energy Sector of Trinidad and Tobago. It was a baptism by fire, where every interaction served as a crucible for honing my skills and fortifying my resolve.
The pivotal moment arrived when I clinched my maiden client six years ago, a feat underscored by persistence and relentless pursuit. Despite facing formidable competition and entrenched contractual agreements, I persisted in orchestrating a meticulously crafted strategy aimed at capturing the attention and, eventually, the patronage of our prospective client.
Monthly rendezvous with the client provided a platform for showcasing the myriad ways in which our company could address its operational exigencies. Armed with a compelling value proposition accentuating our technological prowess and unwavering commitment to excellence in Manpower and Personnel Logistics, I navigated the labyrinth of negotiations with unwavering determination.
After a year-long pursuit characterized by unwavering perseverance and strategic follow-ups, the breakthrough finally materialized. The client, swayed by the promise of unparalleled service delivery and expedited mobilization of our adept team, accorded us the privilege of securing a contract. Thus commenced a fruitful partnership that endures to this day, a testament to the efficacy of open communication and unwavering dedication to service excellence.
As I reflect on this journey spanning six years, I am filled with a profound sense of pride and gratitude. Our continued collaboration with this client stands as a testament to the enduring bonds forged through integrity, transparency, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

At times, one of the biggest hurdles I encountered was the struggle to connect with the right people at the right moments. It often felt like an uphill battle, with the perfect opportunity slipping through my fingers due to timing or circumstance. However, I found that the key to overcoming this challenge lay in persistence and unwavering determination. Instead of being disheartened by setbacks, I made a conscious effort to stay proactive and relentlessly pursue every avenue available to me.
