Hidden Gems: Meet Sierra Alston of Arreis Construction Group

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Alston.

Sierra Alston

Hi Sierra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I got started in construction when I fell in love with the civil aspect of a project.

I started in real estate and made a career transition to construction management. I was always on-site during the inception of a project and was very hands-on. I was determined and upset with learning the ins and outs of the construction business and how to develop my own company.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story. Has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road to success, as I have repeatedly had to prove myself in an unlikely industry. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I work twice as hard to fit into the “boys club” and earn a seat at the table.

We’ve been impressed with Arreis Construction Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
Arreis Construction Group is a part of the Arreis Group brand.

Providing civil construction services to municipal and commercial clients, Arreis Construction has had the pleasure of working with some of the world’s most prominent general contractors and public entities.

We are known for our customer service capabilities.

We are also very focused on project management and having a close relationship with our clients. We are very involved with our customers and managing the process, which is extremely valuable to our partners.

We are proud brand-wise that we are a woman-owned firm in a male-dominated industry.
