Hi Marium, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Pakistan, Growing up in Pakistan, I began my dental education there, driven by a vision of creating better Oral health care in the community. I moved to US and continued my dental journey from New York at a head and neck cancer research Centre. I honed my skills through volunteering, shadowing and research all while striving to set a strong example for future generations.
I continued my educational journey at University of Illinois at Chicago, and after graduation returned to New jersey. After moving NJ I decided to start my family and also advance my career by doing General practice residency at Rutgers. After practicing In NJ my husband and I decided to move Texas. 5 years ago we relocated to Houston, here I provide comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. Committed to ongoing professional development , I pursued advance training in cosmetic and general dentistry. With the support of my family I recently opened my own practice, ” Simple Dental” to provide exceptional care and personalized service to my patient
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Journey has been far from smooth, reflecting a path marked by both challenges and triumphs. Moving from one continent to another and changing multiple cities and adapting to different environment was a challenging and learning experience along the way.
Understanding the demands of different communities was itself a challenge, however with a great system and strong dental community around the country helped me overcome that challenge as well.
