Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Hong Bui, founder & owner of pH Head Spa,LLC in Houston, TX. I am a proud Salon Manager, cosmetologist, and certified trichologist & Japanese Head Spa Specialist. I believe in taking my 22 year career in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Sales & combining it with my love of all things Health & Science. I have been blessed with long silky Lucious Hair and always had the feeling that everyone should have great hair too. This began my journey into scalp & hair health. Helping me to dive right into my love of a Japanese head spa, which is derived from Shiatsu techniques and Ayurveda.
pH Head Spa started with the idea of bringing great customized service to patients that are dealing with scalp issues along with a relaxing spa feel. I believe in using professional high end products that help treat clients scalp issues so they can keep a healthy scalp journey to result in better overall hair health. I believe with pH Head Spa that we are able to serve the community of Houston with the right care, a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, educating the clients about there scalp health, and what preventative measures to do to help keep a healthy scalp journey.
After a year of research, training, development, and design of myVision that we are finally starting to see our vision come alive with pH Head Spa. I have a mission to help clients fully relax, get the right scalp treatment, educate the clients on better scalp health, help clients prioritize self-care, and help clients see real results along their scalp health journey. I am proud to say that ph Head Spa will be helping clients find a new way of looking at life with confidence that their Scalp Health is at its best. When you look and feel your best it’s the ultimate feeling of self love & self care.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to success was not smooth as it took many years leading up to my profession in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Sales to finally step out and use my knowledge and expertise to help patients deal with hair loss, bad products usage, bad habits causing scalp issues, and helping clients understand overall health of their scalp. A lot can go into a business with long hours, website designs, business branding, treatment packages, staffing, equipment, supplies, and licensing. Many things can go wrong or be delayed in getting business off the ground. However, I believe in hard work and persistence always pays off in the end. I also look to partnering up in the future with medical clinics to help patients to maintain post op care along with scalp maintenance so clients can have a successful hair transplant. Keeping the passion and love of your craft is essential to any business success.
