Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephie Eugene
Hi Stephie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi my name is Stephie Eugene , I am a celebrity hairstylist born and raised in Haiti. I immigrated to this country when I was 14 or 15 years old after the earthquake. I grew up with my grandmother, my mother is a hairstylist so the apple really don’t fall far from the tree. I have always had passion for hair and makeup , I used to always dress up at school or at home .I currently live in New York which is where I’m based. When I move to this country I was sent here to be a nurse , which is every Haitian parent dream lol but my heart wanted something else. I then moved to Brooklyn from upstate NY and at the time I was blessed enough to meet a close friend of mine who also believed in me from there my work started speaking for itself. I created my own signature Buss Down middle part with No baby hairs and don’t forget to add that white line , it’s viral now.
I feel like before I came to this industry I thought I knew what I wanted until today. I have a whole another perspective on it now, I don’t want to overshare but long story short I feel like I’m finally in control of it all and I can’t wait to see what God got in store for me .
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it hasn’t been, . I feel like social media had changed a lot. Being an entrepreneur is more than having an LLC but back when I was coming up that’s all we needed. I feel like now that social media is so big it’s kind of hard for us OG’s to adapt to it well this is where I was a year ago or 2 now I kind of having an idea on how to run it .
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well I am stephstylzz the artist I specialize in wigs , sew ins , ponytails, tape ins , i color hair etc but I also do sell my own Hair weaves & my products ( Glue , bonnets , melt bands )
I am definitely known for a buss down middle part no baby hairs with that white line lol . I have real OCD when it comes to hair , I will not let you leave my chair until I’m satisfied. My work is clean in person and looks the same in person not only online.
I am proud of on how far I got in this industry, the connections I was able to make. My name has reached rooms that I never thought in million times it will reach and so far I got to work with some of my favorite celebrities so I am grateful . Gos is good !
