Conversations with Jazmin Elizondo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin Elizondo

Hi Jazmin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! My name is Jazmin Elizondo, but call me Jaz. I am a first generation Mexican-American and as crazy as it sounds, I never saw myself in the beauty industry!

I took my first lash class in 2019 which led me to realize I had so much patience for the craft. Once I realize I found something I loved I enrolled into esthetician school to be licensed, and take my lash career to the next level.
I started school fall of 2019 which led to a crazy spring in 2020. I attended beauty school in the most hectic time of our lives. COVID- 19 was at its peak, it was honestly hard trying to work on hands on services with only mannequin & video recordings, but we managed to get it done!

Once I graduated I did attend 4 other lash courses from other lash artist in the state, to improve my lash sets even more. I try to take at least 1 class a year to stay refreshed with all the new lash things in the industry.

From the start I was blessed to have amazing clients daring to try anything I was learning which helped me ALOT.
Jaz’s Lash & Beauty Bar turns 4 this September, which I wouldn’t change for the world.

I’m excited for that the future holds, I’m thankful for my past, present & future clients.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel the start was a struggle, having to switch from real clients to mannequins during COVID on a hands on service was difficult. Once I graduated I feel like it did take me about a year to fully get my confidence back when working with clients.
Another struggle would be keeping up with all things technology, when I first started everything was word of mouth. Fast forward to 2024 you have to be active on social media to me someone in the industry. That means keeping up with trends, creating content, editing & STILL manage to run your business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a licensed Esthetician, I specialize in lash extensions, but I do dabble in facials as well. That was one of the only other services I did enjoy during esthetician school.

One thing that sets me apart would be that I offer a variety of lash sets, from wispy lash strip sets, to color, glitter, mega volume & our everyday natural sets as well. I have an option to freestyle as well where my clients can bring inspo pictures or their favorite pair of lash strips for me to recreate. That allows my clients to really get exactly what they are looking for.

What’s next?
I am currently planning to launch my own lash brand that will include lash trays, tweezers, and accessories. I have been working with my own lash trays for 2 years now, I’ve gone through manufacturers until I found my lash perfect trays, and currently testing out tweezers & lash glues.
