Hi Phoebe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m thrilled to share my journey of building a successful and happy team, finding a great mentor, and achieving balance between a demanding career and a healthy lifestyle.
Born in Vietnam, I moved to the U.S. in my 20s and have lived in Houston for over 15 years. I’m fluent in Vietnamese and also speak Spanish. I absolutely love Houston and its vibrant community. My career began at UnitedHealth Group, where I hosted events for thousands, appeared on TV and radio, and helped millions embrace healthier lives through preventive care.
Following my divorce, I decided to focus fully on real estate. Starting as a solo agent, I built a team of 10, with plans to grow to 20 by the end of the year. My goal is to lead by example as an independent female entrepreneur, empowering others through homeownership, investment, and by helping my team succeed.
As a foodie living in Houston, it’s always a challenge to maintain a healthy weight, but I balance my love for diverse cuisine with regular Pilates and working out five times a week. I track my BMI, body fat, and muscle percentage—because discipline, tracking, and time management are essential to staying healthy and focused.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The real estate industry presents numerous challenges, including limited listings, high lead generation costs, inefficient sales and operations systems, and dealing with multiple parties and contingencies. Other hurdles include unfavorable mortgage rates, a tough economy, unrealistic buyers and sellers, property and title issues, underperforming team members, broker liability, and a lack of technology integration. With so many moving parts, leading a large and growing team can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance, often resulting in chaos and stress.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I hold a Master’s Degree in Business and have received the prestigious EXP ICON Award, recognizing me as a top 2% agent nationwide. With over 15 years of experience in luxury real estate and development, I bring unparalleled expertise and dedication to my clients. EXP Realty has been ranked No. 1 in transactions and several other categories in recent years, leading the nation in guiding people into homes. Our success is driven by hard work, and together, we are shaping the future and redefining the industry. We are motivated by the trust and achievements of our clients, team, and community.
My advice is to always be kind, take care of yourself, and seek mentorship in various areas of life, including business, health, finances, and relationships. My morning routine includes meditation, prayer, and manifestation. I complete my workout before heading to the office or meeting clients, and I set clear long-term goals along with daily task objectives, diligently tracking my progress.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Capital, labor, technology, and media are crucial factors for success. Mastering these four elements can ensure you stay ahead. I’m a high-risk taker in all these 4 factors, always ready to test new waters, invest in emerging technologies, and explore new media. I embrace challenges, implement new strategies, and am never afraid to start over if needed. It’s essential to experiment, reassess, and replace what doesn’t work. After all, no pain, no gain.
