Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Ramon Carter

Hi Dr. Ramon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ramon A. Carter is the consummate storyteller. With expertise and experience covering a variety of topics that leave audiences entertained and inspired.

After serving 10yrs behind bars released in February 2007, Ramon received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Criminal Justice from Southern University at New Orleans (2015); a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ.(2017); and has acquired a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Christian Ministry in April of (2022) at Grand Canyon University as well.

He is the CEO of RoyalCulture® clothing, a Transformational Strategist at Ramon A. Carter, LLC. , and founder of the R.C.L.A (Ramon Carter Leadership Academy) a youth mentorship program. Not only is Ramon a teacher who exegetes the scriptures of the Gospel, but an educator, published author, and a saxophonist.

Ramon states that “it is his mission to get people to transition from change to transformation by using Kingdom principles. “Sometimes we look around everywhere for the answers of life, not realizing that the answer is right before our very eyes, but the only way that we can see them is if we surrender our all unto the Lord.” In other words, “Trust in the Almighty Creator with all of your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all of your ways, (Not some of your ways) acknowledge Him, (Not them) and He will direct your paths.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would be telling a story saying the road has been smooth, but the reality is that all roads that lead to success is rough. In the beginning I was in and out of relationships, marriages, and hit rock bottom twice since my prison release. After my last marriage (#3) I finally realized that I was the culprit…. “saved, sanctified, filled with the spirit, but still wrapped in my grave clothes,” so I finally sought therapy and counseling in which I discovered that I was a broken man (title of my 4th book). I believe that over 60% of African American men are broken men unknowingly, and the other 40% know it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ramon A. Carter, LLC?
Jay Z once said that, “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business man.” I am my brand, my business as an International Empowerment Speaker who specializes in youth empowerment on topics of behaviors, discipline, and transformational strategies to overcome their obstacles. What sets me apart from others is that my background from the streets to the pulpit gives people authenticity. There’s not too many like me who have served 10yrs of their life behind bars and come out accomplishing what I have done as far as speaking to many in Africa. I’ve also spoken at Women’s conferences shedding light on the broken men they encounter. My schedule is open for booking, and my prices are reasonable. All bookings can be done by sending a message to bookramoncarter@gmail.com

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me at this point in my life is my wife and children. My wife brings out the best in me, she challenges me to always be better, and motivates me to keep going. My wife and children give me greater meaning, and they make me feel motivated to continue to work hard and make sacrifices to ensure their well-being and happiness. There’s no greater feeling than to be surrounded by your spouse, children, and grandchildren. My goal is to leave an inheritance for my great-grandchildren great-grandchildren as I continue to strive for greatness.
