Hi Muhammad, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Muhammad saifuddin and I migrated to usa in 2015 with my wife
I used to run a very successful icecream business in pakistan but due to some personal reasons I had to migrate leaving my 2 kids behind with my parents as they didn’t had a visa and had to wait for the procedure for 6 years so my kids can come to usa
Initially I worked at a warehouse for $8 an hour..i used to ork more then 100 hours a week and never took any days off..working on weekends and also national holidays
Then I decided to try my luck in the trucking industry and Got the cdl license when I started my pay was $12 /hour..got all the endorsements gradually to get better and bettwr in the profession
I also bought my owns trucks and started my trucking company but then within a year after earning enough profiti sold them as there was a decline in trucking industry
Then I again continued my job where I was paid $60 but my heart was always in doing the icecream business and it was my vision to owe an icecream shop of my own
eafter 7 years when I left my job I was getting paid $60/hour and had a very settled life in newjersey but was determined to achieve my vision and that state wasn’t suitable for an icecream business so decided to move to houston
The place I chose to open the business people said it doesn’t have any footwalk and all the food places are in south but my thought was that you do business where there is no one
And thankfully only within a period of 3 months I am successful to attract a lot of customers and they all have appreciated our food quality,service and ambiance..our 600 google reviews says it all
In the long term vision i would love to expand my business to multiple locations and create it a brand and franchise
My journey was long and tough and I never gave up still in the process of achieving my dream

Leaving kids behind in the home country Starting from scratch again..I am just a high school graduate and my native language is not English so building a life in usa was difficult for me.i was doing business since I was 15 years old but working as an employee here was very challenging for me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
When I sold my truck the trucking industry was coming down but I was lucky enough to.sell them in a very good price.there were a lot of obstacles in each step but I was able to overcome all of them with hard work
One thing about which I would have to thank my luck is that I was a cdl driver for 7 years and never had any accidents.
