Today we’d like to introduce you to Thurmina Adams
Hi Thurmina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started long ago in ministry, as a child switch my grandmother at 11 years old. I grew up in church but veered off to the streets during my teens by force. Not because of family but all because of one man. Later I met a guy that I dated that I thought loved me, he would beat me for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He would steal my car that my mom bought me for me to get to cosmetology school or where I needed to be. This went on for a year until my step father and my mom caught on and forced me to stand up and get my things from him. He pulled a long barrel gun on me and said he would kill me, my step dad got out the car and said try it with me. He gave me my stuff and two months later he went to jail for murder. He killed a 12 month old baby boy. There is more to that. All this was going on while I was still in ministry and going to church as if nothing was happening. Some years later I became pregnant and was sat down from singing at church. After I had my baby I returned to a church I joined at 13 with my family called South Post Oak MBC, now The Fountain of Praise. My baby became the pastors baby, when I left and returned he called me out during his sermon. Stopped talking, came down, walked up to her, she reached up to him and he picked her up. He preached with her in his arms. I stayed there for years while confused and doing crazy things. There’s a lot more but a lot of years later I then wrote a testimonial book called Demons in the Pulpit and self published it on Amazon. It was my first self publishing book telling my story about my life, I have now added to that book and republished it two more times. I also now have written a study guide called A Study Guide to an Effective Praise and Worship Leader. This book is being published and worked with through spines publishing company. I created this book because over the years I have worked with some amazing famous artist and some
Amazing Gospel Praise and Worship Leaders that are very effective. I have been trained by some of the greatest singers in my eye’s and my family is full of music. I am very knowledgeable in the music industry and in the sound of what is needed. So that’s me
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely has not been a smooth road and has been a huge struggle. I have lost friends and many have called me crazy along the way. Some have called me fake or whatever but I trust God
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have many things that I do. I am a teacher, a minister, a pastor, a singer, a mother, a friend, an author and more!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Goofy, always in people business, always the older generation, my interest has always been music and children.
