Hi Gwendolyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a resilient soul hailing Daddy’s Girl. I navigates life with courage and “Unwavering Faith” with stage IVb Cervical Cancer. Despite my battling with grief with losing my father in 2015 with lung cancer and fighting my own battling with Cervical Cancer.. I birth the Roy L Jackson Community Outreach Center in memory of my father. My non profit organization provides Outreach resources and case management to cancer warriors and survivors. I am devoted mother, loving grandmother, author, Community leader, Cervivor Patient Advocate, Cervivor Noir, Active Member, 2024 Black Cervix Chat Speaker, 2024 Cervivor in Action. I have been blessed to share my powerful testimony on my platforms. I share my story to give God the ory and to inspire others to walk by Faith and not by sight on this journey through life
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, battling cancer has not been easy road. I have had 3 strokes and 2 heart attack. I have lost my car, townhouse, job and friends .
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the Ceo/ Founder of the Roy L Jackson Community Outreach Center non profit organization 501c3 base out of Houston, Texas. Our organization assist clients with co payments, food, toys for Christmas, school supplies for school. Furniture for their homes, support groups and chemo care packages. I am most proud that even though I am battling stage IVb Cervical Cancer myself I still keep showing up to love and support other no matter how I feel . What set me apart from the rest That not only am I’m Cancer Patient I know how it feel to be caregiver as well

My personality growing up
I was always a tough cookie and very out spoken. I never thought I would be serving others, but I guess it was God’s plan
