Rising Stars: Meet Jeremiah Solomon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Solomon

Hi Jeremiah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
What a journey it’s been so far! My path like many, has has it’s ups and downs. But one thing that has always remained the same is the love and grace I’ve received from God and loved ones along the way. Since the very beginning, I’ve tried to capture and share those experiences through my art. There’s no way I’d be standing here today without them.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I like to think that even though my ambitions extend far beyond my current position, the journey so far has been one worth taking. Most of my early challenges revolved around the financial struggle to support and grow my career as a musician, paired with shady characters looking to make a quick buck. I realized very early on that if I wanted to excel, I’d have to learn the ins and outs of the business for myself on all fronts. Eventually, I found myself not only producing, but writing, mixing, mastering, recording, promoting my tracks and more. It is truly a lifestyle and full time job, which doesn’t leave room for much else. But I’ve been blessed to meet some truly amazing individuals along the way. I’ve got a long way to go but I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think most would agree that my style of music is pretty atypical of that you’d expect from someone who’s only 23. I’ve evolved a lot as an individual throughout my career and so has my sound. I think by allowing my evolutions, both good and bad to flow through my art, I keep my audience on their toes with fresh sounds and unique concepts.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
During Covid, I definitely learned the power of hard work and faith. Being isolated in my home studio allowed me to form new perspectives on my approach to life overall, which had a huge impact on my music. Many bonds in my life were tested, along with new ones being formed. We all experienced loss in some way or another, but I think overall we learned that sometimes it pays to slow down and appreciate the little things we take for granted.
