Check Out Paris Hill’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paris Hill

Hi Paris, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a young girl, I was captivated by my mother’s work with her clients, which inspired me to learn traditional hairdressing techniques from her. At 13, I began practicing styles like braids and sew-ins on my family. My interest in wigs led me to YouTube, where I self-taught various techniques. By 15, I started accepting clients for braids, and by 16, I expanded to wig installations. At 19, I enrolled in cosmetology school, and as my skills in wig styling improved, I transitioned to focus exclusively on extensions and wigs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey to becoming a full-time hairstylist has been challenging, but my family has played a crucial role in supporting me through the process. Starting in this field as a young girl, I dedicated myself to perfecting my craft. There were times when I felt discouraged and questioned whether I was on the right path, particularly during periods of slow progress or when I wasn’t attracting as many clients as I believed I deserved.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an extension stylist specializing in sew-ins, quick weaves, and lace wig installations. I am particularly known for my signature layering and curling technique in wig installations. I take great pride in my growth as a stylist, which includes my decision to enroll in cosmetology school. This education has deepened my understanding of both extensions and natural hair care, as well as enhanced my skills in professional coloring and cutting techniques.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I am a 21-year-old hairstylist and salon suite owner who is in the early stages of my career.
