Hi Moufid, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Your Story: My journey began in 1991 when I immigrated to the United States. I worked at a gas station, took on valet parking jobs, and attended Houston Community College part-time to study automotive repair. These early experiences taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and the importance of building a solid foundation in my chosen field.

In 1996, I embarked on my first business venture in Pasadena, Texas, with a partner. We took over an old gas station with a two-bay garage, which we transformed into a thriving auto repair business. Over the years, I continued to enhance my skills, earning my Master Technician certification and achieving the Advanced Level Diagnostic L1 certification.

In 2008, after years of dedication and growth, I transitioned from a partnership to start Elite Auto Experts with my two sons. We opened a three-bay garage, laying the foundation for what would become one of the largest family-owned auto repair and body shops in Cypress. Elite Auto Experts is now known for delivering exceptional auto repair, maintenance, and bodywork services, with a focus on quality and community engagement

By 2015, we had expanded to a 25-bay state-of-the-art facility on 4.25 acres, solidifying our reputation for quality service and community involvement. Our commitment to excellence has driven our growth, leading to the acquisition of new locations in 2023 and 2024, with plans to expand further in 2025.

Our current strategy focuses on acquiring established shops and building new facilities in key growth areas while exploring opportunities for horizontal expansion. This journey, built on hard work, continuous learning, and a dedication to service, has shaped Elite Auto Experts into one of the leading auto repair and body shops in Houston today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. The journey has been filled with challenges, but each one has shaped who I am today. When I first arrived in the United States, I had to adapt to a new language and culture, which was no easy task. Balancing work, family, and education was a daily struggle. I worked up to 17 hours a day, juggling multiple jobs, including working at a gas station and doing valet parking, all while attending Houston Community College part-time to study automotive repair.

On top of the demands of work and education, I had a family to support. My wife wasn’t working because she was fully dedicated to taking care of our children. This meant that I had to shoulder the financial burden alone, which added a significant amount of pressure. There were many sleepless nights and moments of doubt, but giving up was never an option. Each struggle taught me resilience and fueled my determination to succeed.

These experiences not only made me stronger but also instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family. Despite the challenges, I remained focused on my goals, and each hurdle became a stepping stone toward building the successful business I have today.

Our commitment to community involvement is a cornerstone of Elite Auto Experts. By adopting three local schools and actively supporting numerous nonprofit organizations through participation and sponsorship, we demonstrate our dedication to giving back. Additionally, my role as a board member of the Chamber of Commerce further solidifies our connection to the community.

These efforts not only strengthen our relationships within the community but also distinguish Elite Auto Experts from competitors in auto repair and body repair. Our customers see us as more than just a service provider; they recognize us as a business that truly cares about the well-being of the area we serve. This trust and goodwill translate into customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth, which are invaluable assets in today’s market. Our community involvement has become a key differentiator that sets us apart and reinforces our reputation as a business deeply invested in both our customers and the broader community.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, for me, is defined by a combination of personal fulfillment, business growth, and community impact. It’s not just about financial achievements or expanding our business; it’s about creating a lasting, positive impact on the lives of our employees, customers, and the community we serve.

Success is when our team members feel valued and supported, when our customers trust and rely on our services, and when our business contributes to the well-being of the community. It’s also about staying true to our core values—quality, trust, and innovation—while continuously growing and adapting to the changing needs of our industry.

Ultimately, success means building a business that thrives not just because of what we do, but because of how we do it—with integrity, dedication, and a commitment to making a difference.
