Today we’d like to introduce you to A. Briseidy Cabrera
A. Briseidy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always loved makeup, since I can remember I was always that sassy little girl with a lipstick in hand, never in million years did I think I could make my dream become my business, Im a first generation graduate and graduated as a medical assistant and my goal was to move up in the medical field, but just something about it wouldn’t make me completely happy and now I understand why! A few years back while working at a clinic I got an opportunity from a friend to become her assistant she was a hairstylist and she knew I’ve always love doing “girly” things anything that will include makeup or just anything in general that will make a women feel pretty.! I was so scared because all I knew was the medical field but I loved just the idea of me making someone else feel pretty! After talking to my husband and mom about it they both told me the same thing “that’s where you belong” I took that opportunity, and it was the happiest day ever for me! I worked with her for almost a year and while working with her I took some professional makeup classes and decided to move forward on my own with the classes I took I was able to refresh everything I already knew or felt like I knew…I still remember I started in my living room with just a chair and a mirror promoting my self all over social media, and days later I had my first client I will forever remember her name (Griselda) and until today she’s my most loyal client! … 3 years later I have my own studio I have everything I dreamed of as a little girl. I assist quinceañeras and brides on their special days and wouldn’t change any of this..As a mother of 3 and a wife I couldn’t had made a better choice for me and my family, I now get to spent more quality time with them and also do what I most love doing.! They once told me “the day you wake up happy to go to work you have made it in life” and let me tell you I MADE IT.! 🩷 I first want to thank God, and also my community for trusting me on their most special day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Thankfully to me it has been a very smooth road, I have had a lot of support from my community even though I was new to the industry, my first few months and until
now my schedule has been full and that is why I am very grateful to each of the people who have placed their trust in me, and who still continues to schedule me for future events.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a professional makeup artist and stylist, (updos) I specialize in makeup and hairstyles for quinceañeras, but can definitely also assist with bridal and social looks for any type of event. My goal has always been to make any women feel pretty on her most special day! Every single makeup artist has their unique way of working and I’m just happy I’m part of this industry that allows me to show my skills in my own free way.! I make my clients feel very comfortable in every way possible! Since they walk in and sit in my chair I make sure we become besties lol. I always make sure we have great communication and I’m always open to assist in any question they might have, we discuss the whole process and move forward once I’m done I make sure they walk out of my studio happy and ready to celebrate their big day.! I feel like the most important thing in this industry is to have great communication with your client if you do that the rest is a piece of cake.!
I’m very proud of my self of who I have become since I started my business . I feel like it really changed my life not only in a professional way but in my everyday life. Making people feel prettier on their special day is just a feeling that makes my soul happy.! I get to make their special day a little more special…
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I have so many more plans for the future I’m currently working on a new project and I’m so happy to announce it soon.! I will continue to make women feel pretty as long as God allows me.!
