Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Miles

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey in the art community began my tenth grade year of high school with photography, I love capturing nature in its purest form at age 17 I received my first vintage camera from my mother at age 24 in 2020 during the pandemic I started taking my art serious meeting like-minded people in our community I started painting on canvas sitting home letting my imagination run wild and testing my hand creating digital art via Adobe fresco and selling my prints from my simpleton collection. Since then I have grown on social media starting a new collection ( Urban jungle) and adding onto my photography portfolio. I am looking to expanding my audience by getting my art and nature photography seen by many. I am currently in school receiving my BS In Human Resource Management, While still embracing my love for Art and Photography. Since my last interview I’ve had some trying times in life but art and photography has always been my outlet at this point I want others to enjoy my art and See life in another perspective.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, my art journey has not been a smooth road dealing with epilepsy and just other trials and tribulations in life there were times where I found myself not interested in creating anything or having a creative block struggling trying to create art and and feeling like it wasn’t my bad or it just wouldn’t sell so I’ve found myself not creating or indulging in photography because I didn’t feel like it was good enough but overtime I found myself reconnecting with my love for art and photography and creating again putting myself in a happier space and just being grateful and others asking me about when I would start painting and creating art again really helped me realize that I’m actually doing something that people like.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ll create digital art such as drawings and also photography also paint on canvas or sesame out from others is I’m in contemporary art, my art is colorful deep lines and many people see my art in different ways and they get different experiences from it and that I appreciate as they found their own meaning in my art such as feelings and emotions i’m just letting the art take them. My art is fun it’s mysterious colorful and keeps you guessing and you find so many different things in my pieces.

What matters most to you?
Peace and happiness and just being able to express myself creatively why because I feel like these days in life everything is about the hustle and bustle and maintaining an image on social media I feel like that brings a lot of stress trying to meet others expectations when really in life we should find happiness within ourselves and be at peace and not feel judged when creating or what others would have to say about your work.
