Hi Victoria , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas growing up very close to downtown. From a young age, I could feel the energy around me and had many experiences with spirit that I could not explain at the time. These early encounters sparked a deep curiosity within me, but it wasn’t until later in life that I found a way to understand and harness these experiences. My journey into Reiki began in 1998 when I was seeking alternative methods to manage stress and improve my overall well-being. I attended a Reiki session out of curiosity and was profoundly impacted by the experience. The sense of peace and balance I felt afterward was unlike anything I had ever encountered. This initial exposure sparked a deep interest in learning more about energy and its healing potential. Energy healing changed my life completely and allowed me to connect to spirit in amazing ways.
I started with a Reiki Level I course, where I learned the basic principles of energy healing. The more I practiced, the more I felt a calling to delve deeper. Achieving my Reiki Master certification was a significant milestone. It represented a culmination of extensive study and practice and a commitment to helping others heal and find balance in their lives. I am continually looking for ways to expand my knowledge and refine my practice. I offer several complementary modalities to integrate with Reiki, such as crystal healing, meditation, and sound healing. Additionally, I offer workshops and training for those interested in learning about the healing arts.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any journey, mine had its challenges. One of the biggest challenges was trying to understand the spiritual aspects of energy healing. As a child, I was able to feel and at times see spirit, but I did not have anyone to guide me through it. This lack of guidance in my early years made my journey more difficult. To overcome this, I studied extensively, attended workshops, and participated in speaking engagements with many other healers to expand my knowledge and abilities. Balancing my Reiki training with my day-to-day responsibilities required careful time management and maintaining a disciplined practice schedule. Additionally, there was the challenge of skepticism from those unfamiliar with Reiki. To overcome this, I focused on educating myself thoroughly so I could answer questions confidently and share my personal experiences of Reiki’s benefits.
