Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Stulak
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Thank you for the opportunity to be featured on your platform! I’m a Houston-based influencer sharing life “in the Stulak lane” – covering everything from family, food and lifestyle, to fun around Houston. Many locals within the Houston community recognize our brand known as @Tribe.of.Six, showcasing not only my journey but also the adventures of my husband and children, as well. We’re thrilled to connect with locals and followers across social media who join us in celebrating family, community, and everyday moments!
I’ve always had a passion for the entertainment world. Growing up, I was a working child actress and spent much of my childhood and teenage years immersed in the film, music, and television industry. There was something about storytelling and bringing characters to life that really resonated with me.
As I grew older, I explored other interests, including the culinary arts, but I found that the pull towards the entertainment industry never really left me. Fast forward to today, I’m happily married and a proud mother of four amazing children. But that spark for creating and entertaining others around me never truly faded.
During COVID, I found myself blogging about family and lifestyle, which led to my first opportunity as an influencer. I think it was the element of storytelling and connecting with an audience that reignited that spark in me. From there, I embraced this new path, sharing all things related to family, food, and lifestyle, as well as highlighting interesting spots in and around our city.
While I’m content with where I am now, there’s always the possibility I’ll revisit the entertainment industry one day. For now, I’m enjoying the journey and the rewards that come with sharing my story with my audience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many influencers, finding my voice and defining my niche took time and a lot of self-discovery. Initially, I was sharing a variety of content, from family moments to food creations, but it wasn’t until I truly honed in on my passions—family, food, and lifestyle—that I found the right fit for my audience and myself.
One of the biggest struggles has been balancing personal authenticity with audience expectations. Social media is constantly evolving, and learning how to grow and stay relevant while remaining true to myself hasn’t always been easy. There were moments where I felt like I was throwing content into the void, unsure if it was resonating or impactful.
But through consistency and refining my creative process, I’ve been fortunate enough to land opportunities with some incredible brand partners. Beyond that, I’ve also been able to step into the marketing side of things, offering my creativity and skills to brands, helping them create content for their media needs. This has been a fulfilling extension of what I do, combining both my passion for storytelling and my knack for creating visually engaging content.
It’s been a learning journey for sure, but each challenge has helped shape my path in this industry.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Every influencer and content curator has their own unique talents and gifts, each showcasing content and telling a story in a distinct way. Growing up in the entertainment industry, I feel has shaped and fashioned me with the skills to quickly execute a vision and bring it to life, allowing my audience to feel as though they themselves are presently experiencing each moment by moment in real life. One of the most common compliments I receive is that my content makes a person feel as though they are watching a captivating commercial, which may be what sets me apart. However, I believe my authenticity and transparency in day to day life with my family as a ‘Tribe of Six’ also plays a significant role in setting my brand apart. Balancing this industry with the everyday challenges, especially motherhood, can feel like a struggle bus at times, but when I see the feedback and connections I’ve been able to make with my audience…. the rewards are incredibly fulfilling.
