Today we’d like to introduce you to Porsche’ Crump

Hi Porsche’, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a country southern bell from Houston, Texas who has always had a niche for beauty. I have always been good at fashion, hair , & makeup and have built my business on the grounds positivity and embracing the beauty on the inside so it be shown on the outside. Beauty is really only skin deep , however my goal is to help build confidence, make people feel good, and enhance natural features to create a masterpiece on the outside. Here at Queen p dynasty every man or woman is a king or queen in there on dynasty . I’m just here to assist, uplift , encourage , & create positive results. I started doing hair at 11years old , I would braid , people hair in middle school on my front porch. As the years passed, my self-taught skills developed and allowed me to make extra money on the side. although I wasn’t licensed, I had a natural talent that couldn’t be explained. In 2019 I lost my job as an Operations Manager. I had no clue what I would do. As a single mother of two , I was scared and determined at the same time. I had never been on unemployment or without income . With all the stress from the salary position I held , I decided I did not want another job that lacked passion . I wanted something that soothed soul, so I thought what do I love to do .I wanted to per-sue my dreams. Beauty it was always there, so I told myself, why not. , I love the feeling of helping people feel beautiful. So I decide to increase my skills by committing to cosmetology school. . I enrolled Sept 2019. It was everything that I dreamed it would be , my skill increased and I graduated with flying colors late 2020.I then took my state exam and was licensed by Feb 2021. My two beautiful children was there to cheer me on. I went to work in a dominantly caucasian salon. I worked there and learned for 8months under more experienced stylist. I also optioned a master extentionist certification in order to help my skill base and help me to be more diverse. But after increasing my skills and captivating the hearts of many that were none African American. I starting receiving different treatment from the other Caucasian stylist. Even appointment changes and stolen rotations of the books. The more I received requests from clients and high tips the more the mood shifted at the salon. Ultimately causing me to quit and explore my own creative hair/beauty space. I was the ONLY African American stylist on staff. However I did not let that get me down I started doing hair in my home and then i eventually found a nice starter space. I decide then to go from DBA to a LLC. At the time I had no clue if I would my weekly payments and not really a strong book of clients. I was still working a warehouse job and was pushing my business. I was so exhausted because I only wanted to my business not to be doing a night job as well to make ends meet . however I stayed consistent I worked hard, I dropped social media content constantly. As I did this over the course of 2years my clientele grew tremendously. I end up being able to leave the warehouse and solely begin to depend on my business. God started to increase my business as well as blessed my hands to create and get better at my skills. Due to the growth I needed a new space I upgraded and found a space to accommodate the new growth . I stayed there for a year making a goal to increase services and clientele even more. I experienced so many ups and downs with personal issues that it made me more hungry for professional growth . I started to develop stronger bonds with my clients with increased referrals and service sales. I continued to push myself and chose to not limit my customer base. Meaning I can accommodate every type of client no matter the race. I vowed to be diverse no matter who came into my space. Which brought us here I have just moved into my 3rd creative space just this Sept 2024 and I’m looking forward to more growth and a start of a new podcast called “sinners’ journey podcast” who’s objective is to inform, enlighten, & encourage entrepreneurs and people everywhere.im hoping to help people find there voice and the entrepreneur in them. Life is hard, but with god all things are possible. Work hard , give dedication, determination, and consistency and you can reach your own version of success. You are you only enemy you are your only competition. Look inside for the gifts in you. Promote positivity and love . Go forth and be great and god will do the rest. It hasn’t been easy but it been worth it. Investing in your own business and believing in yourself is hard when nobody sees the vision , people will tear you down try to break you, even no support your business but you also have others that believe in you gravitate to those people. but as the Bible persist until you suceed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not been a smoothe road . It has been up and down. As an entrepreneur I don’t have a traditional job meaning no paychecks. So if I don’t have clients I don’t make anything. Meaning if you don’t work you don’t eat . Beauty is a very competitive market constant competition. The seasons change so, I experienced time with more clients and weeks where it was half the clients. In return making my income go down. Lost of clients when they got a hair cut or moved that changed my monthly intake however I survived

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I a small business owner, who is CEO and founder of queen p dynasty llc . I specialize in Beauty of all kinds. Specializing in hair and makeup services. I am also founder and podcast host of DBA …sinners’ journey podcast. I’m most proud of queenpdybadty growth as I started in my home no space just a room with a chair n a plan. Who has now grown to where it provides for me and my children . What sets me apart is I am a genuine positive spirit , I love god and provide a personal experience for my clients. I connect with them they are more than clients to me I care for them whole heartedly and although I’m not in there lives personally I’m a part of there transitions I live to inform, encourage, and up lift a stylist a therapist a unbais ear

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Just to stay away from negative people and energy. Never allow anyone to get you down. Even if someone doesn’t believe you believe . Believe believe believe in yourself . Good hard for your dreams because they can become a reality
