Hi Evelyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I’ve always been driven by imagination and a passion for dreaming big. From humble beginnings, I’ve forged a successful career as a professional model. My journey began as a brand ambassador, evolving into print and campaign modeling, and most recently, affiliating with the iconic Playboy brand.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a model, I’ve faced my share of challenges, but I’ve also discovered resilience and strength within myself. Modeling’s dark side is not limited to sexism, ageism, racism, and harassment for many. But with imagination and determination, I’ve personally overcome obstacles, silenced stigma, and emerged stronger when needed- not only for myself but for others in the industry who are up and coming.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve rediscovered my love for modeling. Inspired by film and music, I bring a unique energy to my work. Being part of the iconic Playboy brand is a dream come true- its rich history and cultural significance are thrilling.
In Houston, I’m known for my unstoppable drive and entrepreneurial spirit. I thrive on momentum, always seeking new opportunities. My mantra…? Work becomes play when you love what you do.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Being in good health is always a top priority, physically and mentally. You have to be able to balance life and work for it fuels your well being.
