Check Out Kendrick Davis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendrick Davis

Hi Kendrick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a child I always knew I wanted to be more than one thing. Maybe I took “Be all you can be” too literal. So I did it all, sports, acting, modeling, fashion design and styling, entrepreneurship, party promotions, broadcast journalism, on-air radio personality, poetry, music artist, brand ambassador, fitness instructor, and a number of other things. The one thing I love about each role is that I get to PERFORM! The world tries to limit you, wants to force you to fit into boxes created by those who limit themselves, ensuring their own comfort knowing that you are in the controlled and designated area that you won’t grow out of. But I’ve never been able to fit in those spaces, and I have a superb ability to adapt and even be born again when need be. Basically I could wake up and be a different person everyday if it makes sense. I’ve gotten to where I am today by being resourceful, staying positive in every situation, and being prepared when opportunity knocks. And every time it knocks I’m already dressed.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road continues, but some paths are smooth, others are tough, depending on the destination. When I was getting into music and started to really get comfortable with my sound I had found a producer I really liked and we made some really good records and then one day, out of nowhere, we weren’t doing music together anymore. This was a huge struggle because it took me a while to find someone that really understood my vision for my sound and could actually bring it to life out of my head, and it was an instant connection. When we stopped working together I wanted to step back from music, but I’m inspired daily to keep moving forward. In the time I took away from music I was casted in a film set to release in 2025, so for me struggle in one area is an opportunity to advance and grow stronger in another area and bring those strengths and confidence back to that initial problem with an elevated mindset.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
If I had to put a title on it it would probably be a Creative Media Expressionist. I’m a storyteller through all mediums that uses mind, body, influence, and imagination to get these ideas out of my head by any means necessary. I think most would say I’m known for social media content creation, but what I’m most proud of is the projects that are in my hidden files that are waiting to see the light. Right now I’m working on a talk show produced, written, and directed by myself. When this project hits the light I think that this will be something special. What sets me apart from others is that I feel no pressure to impress the crowd. I am confident that the works that I create will move people by the masses one day and maybe I’m here to see it, or maybe I’m not. But i don’t need the instant gratification, I know that my work will be felt, and that’s all that matters to me. What I do, I’d do for free because it’s to push the people forward, it’s not really for me.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
God, self explanatory. My grandfather, taught me to move forward no matter how it felt. My brother Benard, lets me know every time he gets the opportunity that the things I do are truly meaningful and coming from the place we come from is truly remarkable. A couple school teachers and college professors, always reminded me of the light I had inside even when I couldn’t see it myself. A few women throughout life, who’ve labeled themselves my number one fan has always helped me to keep my confidence up.
