Exploring Life & Business with Isaac Owolabi of Dkmedia305

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Owolabi

Hi Isaac, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started as a college promotion group that specialized in small intimate events amongst friends. We did a few events that never picked up before venturing into party buses. We did a couple of party bus events that mainly consisted of friends & friends of friends as well as a few outsiders but these buses contained no more than 50 people. The afronation came into Miami then the birth of afrostrip happened in 2023.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road and just like any success story, there’s definitely been ups and downs. A few that I can share would be firstly, finding a stable team to work with especially coming into the industry with very few prior relationships, establishing these relationships and connections has been difficult especially because you want people to buy into a long term vision that might be foreign to them. More so, the financial side and always having to raise capital for events can prove difficult as well.

We’ve been impressed with Dkmedia305, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a party entertainment service that originated in Miami FL, but have grown into a company without boundaries; we try to do events in as many cities as we can. We specialize in afrobeats events and have established a few branded parties like Made In Paradise which focuses more on a lifestyle vibe and The Afro-Strip Experience which focuses on afrobeats in a strip club setting, we’re unique because we try to be innovative in our events hence the birth of something like the afrostrip. Brand wise, we’re most proud with the fact that everything we do is authentic, from the community we’ve built and the content we put out. We’d like the readers to know that we’re dedicated to our attendees and their satisfaction is our top priority at all our events, we create a vibe and they should come to some of our events, or at least one and experience a different vibe especially the Afrostrip experience which is turning out to be a fan favorite.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Customer satisfaction matters the most to me and the company because nothing beats a good reputation. Although the event space is a very volatile industry where things can go wrong or change quickly, our main focus is always on making sure our attendees have the best experience possible & anytime we fall short of that, it hurts us as a brand.
