Hi Adan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Luxe Primary Practice is a passion project of myself, Doctor Adan Alvarez, and my wife, Family Nurse Practitioner, Terri Alvarez. After practicing primary care in a large institution for many years we decided to take primary care back to the basics. We wanted our focus on the patient-doctor relationship and less on logistics. We follow a direct primary care (DPC) model. In DPC practices, patients pay an affordable monthly fee, giving them complete access to their doctor: no more insurance red tape or surprise bills. Patient have full price transparency, personalized care, and longer appointment times with their doctor among many more benefits.
Luxe Primary Practice is a family-owned and operated business, we take pride in being a family. When creating Luxe Primary Practice, we wanted to keep the practice family-oriented. We wanted every patient to feel like they are part of the family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Unfortunately, it has not always been a smooth road. Most patients are unaware of what direct primary care is and are hesitant to join a practice that is doing healthcare differently. However, once they do decide to get on board, we have found patients to be pleasantly surprised and wish they had made the change a long time ago. The convenience and personalized care patients receive at Luxe Primary Practice is unmatched. Patients enjoy direct access to their doctor and the flexibility of appointment times.

Luxe Primary Practice is a family-owned and operated business. Luxe Primary Practice’s main focus is on preventative care. Luxe’s follows a direct primary care model which gives patients direct access to their doctor. The idea is to have that flexibility to avoid complications. Luxe Primary Practice offers in-person, or telemedicine appointments. Although the emphasis is on prevention, Drs. Adan Alvarez and Terri Alvarez also manage chronic medical conditions as well as acute medical conditions.
Luxe Primary Practice is different in that it provides an innovative way of practicing primary care. It’s the same type of “out of the box thinking,” that patients are so happy about. No more wait times, or waiting days to hear back from your doctor.
We are proud that we can provide personalized care to each one of our patients. We focus more on quality versus quantity because we do not have to deal with insurance. We have more time to focus on what matters which is our patients.
One thing we want our readers to know is that they can have a better and more enjoyable experience when going to their doctor’s office. Visiting your doctor can be a pleasant experience. One thing to keep in mind is that we can manage about 90% of all medical problems, however, we still encourage our patients to have some type of catastrophic insurance in the event they still need hospital services. Other than that, everything done in-house is part of their membership pricing.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am a very simple person, I enjoy spending time with my family and spending time outdoors. I don’t ask for much, I just want to be able to take care of my patient on my terms.
