Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivy York
Hi Ivy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started back around my time in freshman year of Highschool when I started to seek interest into Sports Photography and Videography. I saved and bought all my camera equipment that summer. Throughout that time in which I was saving I did tons of studying and learning how to not only use the camera I was purchasing, but correct photography composition and editing. I started to film and photograph every sport event my school had and began to give out free shoots of my friends and family to post and gradually build a social media following. As time progressed I built my portfolio and began to expand my business and talents. That pretty much leads me to where I am today!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all but it was for sure a road worth taking. I ended up hospitalized and on bed rest for a couple months out of the year which set my business back exponentially. Yet it didn’t kill me but only made me stronger and better.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business specializes in lifestyle, photography and sports videography. I am most commonly recognized for my sports videography as I have grown a huge following on social media for it. I am proud to say that I have had the opportunity to work with some very prestigious brands. I have shot for the Astros, Amped Up Athletics, And HLSR Charitable Organizations. What sets me apart from others is that I am entirely self taught, and independently owned. My business offers a very wide variety of quality services. Thus spanning from business social media management, family portraits, to sports content coverage, and all the in between.

One surprising fact about my work is that I created my business when I was only 15 years old.
