Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Vázquez
Hi Daniela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, my name is Daniela.
I am a content creator based in Houston, Texas.
I was born in Mexico, in a small town called Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
I lived there until I was 18 years old. Then I moved to Monterrey, Nuevo León, to study fashion design and business. I lived there for two years.
When I was 20, I got pregnant with my first baby, got married, and moved to Houston because of my husband’s job.
We are entrepreneurs. He used to knock on doors to sell roofing, and I would go with him while I was pregnant. During the pandemic, he got his real estate license. We were new to the city and didn’t really know anyone.
The pandemic was a hard time for everyone, including us. My husband felt unmotivated, but we’ve always worked together as a team. I had the idea to start making videos about real estate. We would visit beautiful houses and record videos for his social media.
I’ve always loved the creative side of things—beautiful spaces, houses, and making videos. We were really consistent, but I always stayed behind the scenes. Then he had the idea to make videos about Houston and lifestyle. I started filming him showcasing the city, restaurants, and beautiful places.
We remained consistent with the real estate videos. Then I got pregnant with my second baby, and that pregnancy taught me a lot about myself. I had many realizations about my life.
I love Mexico, but I also love Houston because I’ve lived the most beautiful moments of my life here with my daughters.
When I turned 26, I gained more confidence in myself. I started posting videos on social media about the things I love. I adore this city—its incredible gastronomy, its diverse cultures, and the warmth of its people.
That’s why I created an account called Houston Diaries.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s always hard to start; we tend to doubt ourselves. Gaining confidence is not easy.

I am a content creator. I love to tell stories. I am proud of my family. And I think what sets me apart is that I am just an ordinary girl from a small town that loves to live in a big city like Houston.

My faith in God. Having a good morning routine. Analyze myself.
