Check Out Ariel Jackson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel Jackson

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi my name is Ariel, I am the owner or Baked Pretzel Catering.
I am a women of strong faith, a wife, homeschool mom of 3 and an entrepreneur. I wear so many hats on a daily bases and I’m just so grateful to have a support system.
People often ask: “How did you come up with this idea?” Truth is….I didn’t! God gave it to me as a way to help one of my family members in need. This was never supposed to be MY business, it was suppose to be theirs. But that family member didn’t want it. So here I am.

Now, I just want to create amazing experiences for brides at their weddings through a fun & interactive pretzel bar! It’s more than catering- it’s an experience that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression.

Matthew 5: 13-16 “Stay Salty”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it hasn’t been smooth. It took me a while to figure out who my target audience was. I use to think parties were a good fit but no. Weddings and corporate events are my clients.

Another struggle was figuring out what type of set-up matched my clients vision. I purchased a cart that wasn’t a good fit, built a cart that wasn’t right, and met an amazing friend who brought my vision to life. I’m also still learning how to market. Entrepreneurship is all about learning and growing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I provide soft pretzel catering for weddings and corporate events. What sets us apart is that our soft pretzels are baked on-site and guests can customize their pretzels with a variety of drizzles, creating a unique and interactive experience served straight from our charming cart.

I’m most proud of creating a business that people see value in that brings them joy at the same time.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I would say “Do it scared”. When you first start, don’t worry about having everything perfect because if I waited until everything was perfect, I would have never started! It’s okay to make mistakes. The ideas that you have when you first start out may or may not work and that’s okay too! That’s the beauty of having your own business. You get to change and grow your business the way you want. You fail but you get back up and try again to see what works best for you. Also, don’t try to be like everyone else. You are unique, your ideas are amazing, be true to you and your customers will find you!

When I first started, I wish I knew who my audience was. Because I didn’t know, I waisted time & money marketing to the wrong people who thought the idea was cute and nice, but just not for them and they never booked.
