Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Marshall
Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
If you ask my friends and family, I have always been “that one” who organizes everything for others. Whether it’s helping someone pack or plan a wedding, I seem to have been born with the knack to organize. I spent my earlier years working in the corporate sector and in politics. In 2007 I got married and moved abroad. My husband was in the Australian Air Force and we ended up moving a few times. Before I knew it, I was a moving expert! I returned to Houston in 2019 and decided to launch Zensational Organizing in January 2020 after realizing that my skill set was perfect for the organizing world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Shortly after launching my business, the COVID shutdown happened and I found myself having to “homeschool” my daughter who was in kindergarten at the time. I had to put my business on hold, but was able to assist other organizers along the way. I was saved by NAPO Houston! My membership with the Houston Chapter of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO Houston), kept me connected to the local industry. Now, I am the President of NAPO Houston.
As you know, we’re big fans of Zensational Organizing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I tell people that I help you get your Zen back, one space at a time. My approach is deeply rooted in faith and fueled by a desire to help people find their peace with intention.
