Today we’d like to introduce you to Chi-Chi Emezie
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When it came to being a content creator and business owner, I feel that it has always been in me. Being from Nigeria, the preferred career options are usually a lawyer, engineer, or doctor. You can say that I was the black sheep because non of those options appealed to me lol.
I started posting beauty and fashion related content on YouTube in 2017 for fun, till I started to see brands reach out to collaborate together, I quickly realized that this was my true passion and since then, I’ve put my all into every piece of content I produce.
From there, I launched my beauty brand, Beauty by Chi-Chi, which bridges the gap of providing high quality makeup products at an affordable price. It has been a blessing to watch my business grow. I launched it around covid time, in which I was unsure how things would go, but wow did people show up for me.
Another business venture of mine that I am truly passionate about is producing UGC content for brands in various industries. Essentially, I create and edit high quality content that can be utilized in ads or social media. It grew exponentially in 2024, and I cannot wait to see what else we will achieve this year.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In entrepreneurship, I believe that you should always expect some bumps along the way. The thing with business is when you are about to launch, you receive so much support and accolades, but the true work begins when the hype dies down.
You have to find new ways to keep your business interesting in a world full of competitors in your industry, algorithms, changes in customer interests, etc. Funny enough, I think that’s why I enjoy entrepreneurship, because there is a sense of thrill in the rollercoaster ride that we are in.

Currently, my work spans three main areas: my Beauty by Chi-Chi business, which specializes in affordable yet high-quality makeup products; my role as a beauty, lifestyle, and fashion content creator on social media; and finally, my work as a UGC content creator producing video content for brands.
What sets me apart in my work is my attention to detail. I can spend hours editing content, and fine-tuning every clip till it’s up to my standards of “perfect” or, you can find me consistently testing out makeup products before adding it to my brand. I believe in taking my time when it comes to these things because they reflect me as a person, so I want to always make sure I put out my best work.
Out of everything I’ve accomplished, I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown in creating video content. I’m passionate about producing high-quality videos that are skillfully edited to captivate viewers’ attention. It’s something I genuinely enjoy and dedicate a lot of time to researching and perfecting.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Honestly, what makes me happy is God. I can sit here for days expressing how much he has done for me but there wouldn’t be enough words. One thing about God, he is a slow-fast God. I’ve been praying for this life that I have now for years, and it seemed so out of reach. Then, all of a sudden, I look around and realize I am surrounded by everything my heart desires. It is always in his timing and everything I have and have achieved comes from him.
