Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashelye Chantre
Hi Ashelye, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always wanted to be a singer, I just didn’t know at the time what it took for me to get here. To actually go for the things I want in life. All it took was realizing my situation and finally making that risk for myself and my happiness.
I was born and raised from Piscataway, New Jersey. I moved to Houston, Texas when I graduated High School so I had to start from scratch and figure out what I wanted to do but most importantly who I wanted to be.
Now, I am a singer/songwriter who is also
YouTuber with a full time Job at the same time!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles I faced was me, me getting in the way of my potential. Not knowing what self love really meant, procrastinating to not believing in myself first. Alongside money being an issue at some point but conquering all those obstacles.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a very passionate person, I have many goals and dreams in life I would like one day to conquer. My creative side is the one thing that keeps me busy with all my ideas and passions. It’s hard to juggle all these side hustles while my full time job supports them. This year 2025, I have many big plans coming with my music career. I have several songs and an EP ready to be unleashed into this world. This will be my year to finally give it a full shot. I want to see how far I am willing to go to actually see it happen!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Believing in yourself, doing it even though no one else sees your vision, doing it scared and uncomfortable, building your self knowledge so you can better support yourself and others around you, be the person you needed for yourself!
