Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Jetzer
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started doing photography as soon as I graduated high school in 2017 and started out with just taking photos of like high school seniors and then moved quickly into more weddings and engagements! I then was able to open my own photography studio here in the Woodlands area. It’s not just a studio for me, but also for other photographers to be able to come and book and create as they want!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, starting a business from the ground up right after high school and not really having a “” teacher, I self-taught myself from YouTube videos just basically learning how to take photos and learning how to use my camera! I was able to finally start my own LLC and save up enough to open my own business which has a lot of little bumps along the way if that makes sense!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a self-taught photographer! I specialize in weddings and portrait work! I also started posting more behind the scenes of my work on TikTok and Instagram and I think that is also where I gained a lot of my following. I think what sets me apart is I like to show the behind-the-scenes of the process and not just sharing beautiful photos!
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love Houston. I couldn’t see myself currently living anywhere else. I was born in Switzerland, but the two countries are so different and I love the freedom that America has to bring with business opportunities.
