Today we’d like to introduce you to Xuexia Bruton
XueXia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in China and adopted when I was one and a half by my mom who raised me as a single mom and an only child in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I received my degree in chemistry and psychology, but decided that was not the path that I wanted to take. My mom is a retired nurse as well and I always liked the idea of helping people, so I decided to receive my nursing degree from an accelerated program in Jackson, Mississippi that I completed in one year. I was an ICU nurse for 5 years and I traveled during Covid for 2 years. It made great money, but essentially was not fulfilling to me in the long run and I got super burnt out. I was working at a drip spa for the time being when my mentor and his wife in my current business, introduced themselves to me. I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business without knowing what would happen. About a year later I am making the same that I would make as a travel nurse with much more flexibility and freedom. I wake up every morning happy about the work that I’m doing and the legacy I’m leaving behind for other people.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say my childhood growing up was not a smooth road. Being adopted by someone who doesn’t look like you was very conflicting for me as a child as far as who I should hang out with, and what society expected from me culturally. Being raised by a single mom, and an only child was also lonely at times and I struggled with accepting my past as well as myself. It took me a long time to realize that other people‘s opinions of me didn’t matter, and that once I accepted myself, then the right people would come into my life. I also thought that if I got a degree and a stable job that I would be considered successful and happy. It took me a while to realize that deep inside I truly am an entrepreneur and I have that drive within me. I don’t see myself going back to a regular 9-to-5 job anytime soon. I’ve overcome a lot of obstacles along the way, but I’ve also grown and learned what self love means as well.

My business is to help people get where they want to go as efficiently and quickly as possible, there is a lot of education around financial planning as well as financial literacy that I aim to teach people so that they can create generational wealth for themselves and their family. Our business motto is comprehensive financial planning, and there’s usually six areas that people have blind spots in:
1. Budgeting/Cash Flow – the ins and outs of money
2. Insurance – protecting your income and loved ones
3. Investments – growing wealth
4. Retirement – planning to the $ what is needed to save
5. Tax minimization – paying as little to the IRS legally
6. Trust/Will/Estate Planning – make sure your wishes are met
There is a common misconception that you either need to have a lot of money or spend a lot of money to have a financial advisor and I like to assure people that that is not the case. I offer complementary consultations and plans free of charge that you get to keep regardless if we do business together or not. That is so I can bring as much value to you as possible before you make any decisions as far as what you would like to implement. I am most proud that I aim to serve undervalued communities such as minorities and women entrepreneurs, however, I help everyone whether you are new out of college or nearing retirement. It is never too early or too late to begin planning, the main thing is starting today.
What’s next?
I have big goals for my 5 year and 10 year business plan. I envision a space that serves others that includes a communal space for creatives including marketing, social media creation, office spaces, and a place for women to feel seen. I already own a home, but would love to have another investment property in my portfolio, I want to get married and have kids in the next few years, and would like to have my dream in-home gym as well. For the time being I plan on growing my business, traveling, working out, and spending time with loved ones.
