Today we’re excited to be connecting with Tamika Cross again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Tamika , we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
I am a board-certified OBGYN, entrepreneur, and Women’s health advocate committed to transforming maternal health. As a single mother and business owner, I’ve built a thriving private practice that reaches women across a 50-mile radius, offering compassionate, culturally competent, patient-centered care.
What sets me apart? I don’t just deliver babies—I deliver change. From serving on hospital committees to shaping policies that address Black maternal morbidity and mortality, I use my voice to advocate for systemic reform. I also mentor, educate, and uplift future generations of physicians and leaders.
My journey has been one of resilience, passion, and purpose—breaking barriers in medicine while raising a daughter who sees firsthand what’s possible. This is more than a profession; it’s a legacy in the making.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Right now, I’m in a season of growth, impact, and alignment—balancing motherhood, my thriving practice, and my work in women’s health advocacy. Every day, I’m reminded why I started this journey: to change lives, break barriers, and create lasting change in women’s healthcare.
What excites me the most? Expanding my influence beyond the exam room. From shaping policies to mentoring future physicians, I’m stepping deeper into leadership and advocacy. I’m also working on new projects that will empower women to take control of their health and wellness.
The best part? My daughter is watching it all unfold, learning that she, too, can create the life she envisions. This is only the beginning!
