Life & Work with Gerald Flournoy II of East Houston area (Channelview,TX)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerald Flournoy II

Hi Gerald, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started about 3 1/2 yrs. ago in 2021 at the tail end of the COVID-19 pandemic I had a tugging on my heart to start my lawn care business / lawn content creation journey.
It was a moment in time where a lot of people were really tapping into their purposes and passion which what I did. I left working shift work in the oil & gas industry to pursue my God given calling of lawn care and out reach. Over these years post COVID-19 I’ve dived in head first with social media platforms, (YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram) which have allowed. me to build a presence and share my passion with helping those in underprivileged and the under deserved areas of Houston with FREE cleanups that I film for long and short content. This is really what I truly love to do and it has allowed me to meet big lawn content creators Spencer SB Mowing, Nathans Lawns & Gardens, and The BlackSheep Lawn Service Pablo Serrano and others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has not been a smooth travel by a long shot I’ve had breakdowns with vehicles, equipment failures and some financial losses but that’s apart of entrepreneurship it just makes you sit back and access and re group how you run your business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a lawn care specialist and lawn content creator. I specialize in lawn care maintenance, weed management mulch application and fertilizer application. What set’s me apart is my attention to detail and transparency with clientele. I strive to be as communicative with every client I take care of. I’m extremely proud of my online/social media presence that is growing and reaching outside of the U.S.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has helped me tremendously is being apart of Echo Means Business an extension network of lawn care professionals around the U.S. and Canada the outdoor brand ECHO has created this a place where we showcase lawn tips, lawn care education videos for ECHO this has been a total game changer for me.
