Meet Ra’Sasha Payne of IHeartLashStudio in Southwest and Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ra’Sasha Payne.

Ra’Sasha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My Journey begin soon after coming out of a deep depression after losing a child. One of my go to places was the makeup counter and stock up on makeup, I’m not sure why but it just made me feel good. I begin to learn how to do my makeup but was always so frustrated with the lash process. I was frustrated that lashes made the whole look change but they were only temporary not even lasting a full day before lifting or falling off. As I started getting better I began to think there is another way for longer lasting lashes. I started to do research and quickly discovered eyelash extensions! I became so interested in the technique that I studied it for hours at a time Up at all times of the night just digging by into facts. Not so long after I purchased my first kit. Taught myself the technique off of videos and research and started practicing on friends. I quickly started to grow and my work became better so I decided to train with a professional and see if this is something that I could do long term. I have always worked a pretty decent job but never one where I was completely happy as I am with being a entrepreneur! Soon after learning the technique and being good at the skill the time for me two choose between work and entrepreneurship became my reality. I used my job as a crutch to go to school for licensing and shortly after graduation I left. Starting my business was the best decision I’ve made so far I actually wake up every day with no complaints about going into my own place of business and servicing clients with a service I absolutely have a passion for. As for the journey it has not been easy at all but beyond worth it I wouldn’t change the process for anything in the world.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has definitely been bumpy, from first juggling a full time job and a full clientele, choosing to stay under the safety net of a for sure pay check or stepping out on faith and following my dreams. One of my biggest struggles starting out was faith and fear. I believed in God but didn’t know how to put faith in God to do the things he promised. And I let fear hold me back from my potential. I quickly began to get in the Bible, change my surroundings of friends/supporters and worshiped god every chance I could. The road has never been smooth but I appreciate every bump.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the IHeartLashStudio story. Tell us more about the business.
IHeartLashStudio is an eyelash studio and I specialize in versatile lash artistry and designs. I am known for the superior service I put out and the beautiful designs I create with eyelashes. I am so proud of all the accomplishments I have made in the past two years with getting this business off of the ground. There are several lash artist but what sets me apart is the hands on care and knowledge I give to each and every one of my clients. I love to educate my clients on the health and longevity of their lashes. Iheartlashstudio believes in healthy lashing!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t really believe in luck I believe in God. I believe God is the provider to all things and he has played several roles in the life of my business.
