Hidden Gems: Meet Chandler Getzinger of Eminent Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Getzinger.

Hi Chandler, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Chandler Getzinger is an entrepreneur, executive coach, and aspiring therapist whose professional journey reflects the power of curiosity and adaptability. Starting with a passion for real estate, Chandler became a licensed realtor and quickly discovered a love for entrepreneurship. This drive led to launching a moving company, where leadership skills were honed, but it was through Rice University’s prestigious Coach Rice program that Chandler found a true calling—coaching. After enrolling in the program, Chandler began actively pursuing a credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) to deepen her skills and commitment to the profession. Inspired by the intersection of leadership and human behavior, Chandler founded Eminent Coaching, working with executives and professionals to unlock personal and professional growth. This passion for human development eventually sparked a deeper interest in psychology and therapy, leading Chandler to pursue a degree in psychology full-time at the University of Houston-Downtown, with plans to integrate therapy into an already thriving coaching practice.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It most certainly has not. Shifting from a real estate business to a moving company, and now to a coaching practice, has come with plenty of unexpected twists and life hurdles. Every time I changed careers, it was because something wasn’t fulfilling me or didn’t fit the lifestyle I wanted. Being someone with ADHD, I’ve always found monotony difficult — I don’t exactly “suffer” from it, but I definitely thrive on challenge, novelty, and progress. That’s why setting up businesses, building systems, and working with vendors is something I genuinely love. I actually thrive in the chaos — there’s something about creating from scratch and bringing order to disorder that excites me, and it’s one of the parts of entrepreneurship that I’m deeply grateful for.

That said, there are parts I’m less grateful for — mainly the isolation. At times, it feels like what I imagine astronauts must feel in space — extremely lonely. On one hand, having a trusted partner for extra accountability and shared responsibility would be amazing. On the other, I have the ultimate freedom to make decisions and structure my business exactly how it fits into my life, which is a gift I don’t take for granted. Entrepreneurship has also brought financial challenges along the way, which pushed me to become financially savvy. I’ve learned to fully understand the laws, handle the accounting myself, and take ownership of every part of my businesses — all of which have shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business is called Eminent Coaching. I work with companies that hire me to coach their executives and professionals for a variety of reasons—sometimes it’s conflict resolution, sometimes time management, or navigating transitional periods like promotions, demotions, or major role changes. In other cases, clients come to me with measurable goals they’re striving to achieve or simply because they need additional support. More and more companies are now offering coaching as an employee incentive — not only to support their people emotionally but to help them build confidence, navigate challenges, and ultimately boost productivity. I also work directly with individual professionals who seek out coaching on their own.

Eminent Coaching was born during a very personal season of my life. After the loss of a loved one, I was in a space where I felt both incredibly free and elevated, yet grounded in my values like never before. That alignment with myself, coupled with my love for human behavior and leadership, is what gave life to Eminent Coaching. It became my way of helping others navigate their own seasons of growth, change, and challenge.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Eminent Coaching would not exist without a team of people who poured into me along the way. First and foremost, I have to credit my adoring husband Justin Getzinger, who has been an unwavering rock in my life. He has always supported me, no matter the direction I chose to go, as long as it aligned with my values. His belief in me has been foundational.

Secondly, I’m incredibly grateful to my mentor, Joseph Trahan from BizPac, a small business advocacy group I became involved with during my time owning a moving company. He was the first person who truly saw coaching in me before I even saw it in myself. He approached me about coaching BizPac members, which had never crossed my mind at the time. Marie Wehrung, another BizPac member then recommended the Coach Rice program at Rice University, describing it as life-changing — and I can wholeheartedly say that it was. That program transformed my mindset and helped me remove the self-imposed limits I had around what I could truly do and become. It not only gave me the tools to open Eminent Coaching but also sparked the deeper realization that I wanted to pursue therapy and continue helping people on an even deeper level.
