Check Out Brandon Thomas and Sarah Havemann’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Thomas and Sarah Havemann.

Hi Brandon and Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Diamant Noir Entertainment is owned and operated by Sarah Kay Havemann and Brandon Thomas. Here is a little about each of our journeys!

Sarah Kay Havemann

I knew from a young age that dance was my passion in life. I started training at age 2, giving me over 20 years of experience. I began performing professionally at 13, teaching at 14, and choreographed my first competitive dance piece at 16 years old. I was a member of a D1 collegiate dance team and later went on to study dance at The University of Houston under the direction of Karen Stokes. I have also had the pleasure of performing with professional dance companies such as Vault Houston, Revolve Dance Company and Chapman Dance.
When I was presented with the opportunity to dance professionally in the entertainment industry I was thrilled! I started performing in high end restaurants such as CIEL, Koya, and Blush, bars, clubs, weddings, and private parties. I have also performed at major EDM festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Lights All Night. The entertainment industry swept me off my feet and I’ve been in love with it ever since!

Creatively, my journey started young — I was always into drawing and visual art growing up. My dad got me into music early on, and I played the viola in middle school. As I got older, I explored different art forms like fashion design and photography. In high school, I fell in love with electronic music — especially house — and that passion stuck with me. I went to tons of shows and festivals, and had a few friends that were DJs and into the same music I was. During the COVID lockdown, I ended up learning to DJ on the fly at a party and I was hooked. A couple of years later, I realized music wasn’t just a hobby — it was my calling.

Professionally, I’ve spent the last 11 years in the hospitality and entertainment industries, managing entertainment & ambiance with venues like CIEL. I played a key role in launching high-end establishments like Steak 48, Mastro’s, Bisou, and Nobu. Also, traveling to entertainment hubs like Miami, Ibiza, and Tulum have helped shape my perspective and deepen my passion for music and performing arts.

Together we decided to combine our knowledge and expertise and start our own company geared towards providing all types of entertainment. We showcased our new company at Bridal Extravaganza in July of 2024, our first big debut! We kept networking and improving until landing our first big client, Santé, which is now one of our resident locations! Now, we are blending our lifelong love of the arts, dance, and music, our hands-on event experience — into a career that’s all about creating unforgettable, elevated entertainment experiences. We have put in countless hours of work and planning, and we are grateful for every step of the way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At the beginning it was very tough landing our first client, as we did not have much marketing material or past events done through our company. But we had plenty of experience under our belts and a few connections we could reach out to. So through keeping in touch with industry friends, and providing them help when asked with their concept openings, we were top of mind when the idea of live entertainment was brought up.

The second big struggle was and still is TIME! There are only so many hours in the day. As an owner you have to wear many hats. You are a costume designer, a talent agent, a sound engineer, an operational manager, a marketing manager, a photographer, a salesperson, and so much more. Finding the time to be 10 different people is challenging! With the right mindset and a bit of creativity and organizing systems, it’s possible to juggle these roles and still find joy in the hustle.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We offer:
High-end entertainment curation for restaurants, lounges, and private parties.

Professional talent management, including dancers, DJs, live musicians and specialty performers

Custom choreography and immersive performances tailored to event themes and brand aesthetics.

Creative direction and event styling that blends luxury, culture, and modern trends

We specialize in a couple things including what we call the Champagne Goddess, an elegantly dressed performer inside a metal dress, beautifully decorated with about 90 champagne glasses or cocktails to serve guests.

We also specialize in Dancers of all styles! From graceful Ballerinas to fiery Latin Dancers to club style Gogos, we have the best trained performers in any style!

Viva Las Vegas! We have an excellent team of talented Showgirls with beautiful, large feather fans and extravagant costumes that light up the room with their flashy moves.

We also live musicians who seamlessly collaborate with DJs to create a dynamic, high-energy experience – improvising on the spot with whatever the DJ is playing in real time. This adds a modern, elevated touch that goes beyond the traditional setup where live musicians perform independently – something very refreshing in the Houston scene.

We’re most proud of the level of detail and intention we put into our costumes, our brand’s overall aesthetic, and especially our performers and their passion for their craft. It’s rare to find companies that deliver both high-level visuals and high-level talent — but that’s exactly what we strive for. We’re committed to creating experiences that are not only visually striking but also skillfully executed & professional.
