Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Loyola of The Cesta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Loyola.

Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started back in 2018. I was a mom of two little ones under two, and my hands were full. I found myself constantly battling piles of clothes. Not because washing was hard, but because the aftermath—the folding, hanging, and putting everything away—felt like an endless, time-consuming burden. I wished there was a service out there that specialized in handling that tedious task and keeping areas in my home tidy. I knew I wasn’t alone in this struggle, and I started to wonder: What if there was a service that took care of this for families?

I’ve always loved laundry and organizing. There’s something peaceful about it. But once I had my second baby, I couldn’t keep up—and that’s okay to admit. Even in a home that wasn’t chaotic, the visual clutter started to make my mind feel loud. They say cluttered spaces lead to cluttered minds—and it’s true. When you’re already running on crumbs, caffeine, and lack of sleep, the last thing you need is your laundry pile silently judging you from across the room.

That small thought turned into bold action, I took a leap of faith and The Cesta was born in August 2019. I envisioned a service that would bring peace and order into the homes of families like mine. What began as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger—an opportunity to give busy households, especially overwhelmed moms, a helping hand, providing convenience and a touch of luxury. If I could ease this burden for even one family, it would be worth it.

Fast forward to today, and The Cesta has impacted thousands of households and changed countless lives. It’s humbling to see how far we’ve come and how many families we’ve been able to help. What started as a laundry service has grown into a company dedicated to bringing organization, peace, and simplicity to the lives of families. We now serve three cities—Houston, Austin, and San Antonio—and are expanding into a franchise this year with the goal of helping even more families regain time, balance, and peace in their homes across the nation. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built so far, and I’m excited to see how many more lives we can touch. The future is bright, and we are just getting started. With God’s grace, I know our mission of restoring order to homes—one basket of laundry at a time—will continue to grow.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One major challenge—one that many of us faced—was the pandemic. It was a scary and uncertain time. As an in-home service, I genuinely thought we might never reopen. With the world shut down and social distancing in place, it felt impossible to imagine how we could continue.

I remember sitting there watching the news as they announced that only essential workers could return to work. I was still in shock. Then, unexpectedly, I started receiving calls and texts from clients: “You’re a laundry service. That’s essential. We need you back in our lives—our homes. We’ll figure out how to social distance, but we need you!”

Those messages reignited something in me. I realized I didn’t need to wait for the world to tell me how to move forward—I just had to find a way. So I did the research, created safety protocols to protect both my team and our clients, and pushed forward.

The obstacles we face and the challenges we’re given are meant to grow us. I try not to focus on how difficult the climb is, but rather on the fact that I will make it to the top—one step at a time. Every challenge has made me stronger, wiser, and more determined to succeed.

Through it all, I’ve kept my faith at the center, trusting that God is guiding this journey. Looking back, I see His hand in every moment—every lesson, every opportunity, and every person He’s placed on my path. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s in the bumps, detours, and uphill climbs that strength is built, character is revealed, and purpose is refined. And for that, I’m grateful—because a smooth road never made a skilled driver.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
