Hi Shruti, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I had no background in photography when I impulsively decided to buy a lens for my dream vacation—a safari in Africa. That trip changed everything. I fell in love with the art of capturing raw emotions and genuine reactions in a natural environment. Later, during my engagement and wedding photoshoots, I experienced the other side of the lens and learned firsthand how intimidating it can feel. Now, as a photographer, I strive to create an easy and comfortable atmosphere for my clients. I guide them through fun, relaxed activities to help them feel at ease and capture their authentic selves. The results? Photos that are candid yet beautifully composed—a skill I’ve truly enjoyed mastering!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building trust as a new photographer has definitely been one of my biggest challenges—it often feels like a catch-22. On one hand, I need clients to build my portfolio; on the other, potential clients want to see a portfolio before booking. To overcome this, I’ve focused on showcasing my work and stepping outside my comfort zone to put myself out there. I see this as an ongoing journey of growth, and I’m sure I’ll look back on it one day and appreciate how these challenges helped me develop both personally and professionally.

I specialize in outdoor photography sessions, working closely with couples and families to create memorable and personalized experiences. I’m all about capturing the raw and authentic beauty of emotions in candid settings. My approach starts with understanding each client’s unique vision and needs. For those who come without a specific creative direction, I love stepping in to craft a vision that matches their personality and goals. I then assist with selecting locations and coordinating outfit styles and colors to perfectly complement the season and setting. It’s these little details that shine through in the final photos—images you’ll cherish forever. I’m most proud of my ability to connect with people and bring out their true selves in front of the camera, creating photos that tell a genuine story.
What sets me apart is my understanding of what it feels like to be on the other side of the lens. Having been a client during my engagement and wedding photoshoots, I know the importance of feeling comfortable and natural. I combine this empathy with a skill for blending candid and posed photography, delivering images that feel very personal. It’s this unique approach that allows me to create photos my clients truly treasure.
For couples, I offer engagement sessions with full rights to the images, which they can use for everything from save-the-dates to wedding websites, event slideshows, or displays around their venue. These sessions capture a variety of photos that showcase your love story, personality, and the special moments that define your relationship. I also offer mini sessions that are ideal for anniversaries—helping couples celebrate their love year after year.
For families, I provide mini sessions during the beautiful fall and spring seasons, which are perfect for creating annual family portraits. Springtime offers stunning backdrops with Texas’s iconic bluebonnets and wildflowers, making these sessions a wonderful way to preserve cherished memories and display them beautifully in your home.
