Today we’d like to introduce you to Ity Ade.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story really started in the fashion and lifestyle space — I loved sharing my style, my favorite finds, and glimpses of everyday beauty. It was a creative outlet that brought me so much joy.
But everything shifted when I became a mom — and even more so after becoming a mom of two.
Suddenly, my definition of beauty changed. It wasn’t just about what I wore, but how I cared for myself in the middle of chaos. The sleepless nights, marriage, home management, solo parenting days, and navigating motherhood while still trying to feel like me led me to start sharing something deeper.
That’s how @itys.nook was born — not just as a platform, but as a safe space. A space for moms to feel seen, to share the not so fun days and the magical, and to remember that self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential. I also started a community of moms space called @mamasnook_ which is where I invite seasoned moms to share their stories around TTC, Pregnancy, Postpartum and Birthing in a bid to help First time moms.
With the love of my husband and the joy my two sons bring me every day, I’ve grown my platform into something intentional — focusing on gentle motherhood, soft living, and encouraging women to fill their own cups too. Which is truly not always perfect — but it’s real, and it’s my story and journey. I get so much joy knowing that I am helping other moms find their rhythm and rest in the beauty of everyday moments.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road — but a meaningful one.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance all the roles I carry: mother, wife, content creator, and working professional. Especially during the early months postpartum, I struggled with identity. I wanted to show up for my kids and my husband, but also for myself — and that tension was real.
Solo parenting days also made things harder — trying to film content, manage the home, and simply stay afloat emotionally wasn’t easy. There were moments where I felt like I had nothing left to give, let alone create.
Another major challenge was giving myself permission to shift — from fashion and lifestyle to motherhood and self-care. I had to embrace a new pace, a new message, and trust that my audience would grow with me or find me when they needed what I had to offer.
Building @itys.nook and @mamasnook_ wasn’t about having it all figured out — it was about being honest through the figuring-it-out process. And with every message from a mom who says, “Thank you for saying that — I needed it,” I’m reminded that the imperfect path is often the most powerful.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a woman in tech. I specialize in helping organizations protect sensitive data, securing systems, and meet compliance standards.
What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve made — especially mentoring other women in tech and creating safer digital environments for companies and communities.
What sets me apart is my ability to lead with both strategy and empathy — whether it’s solving complex security challenges or building intentional spaces like @itys.nook and @mamasnook_ for moms to feel supported.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
You can work with me through brand partnerships, content collaborations, or speaking opportunities — especially around motherhood, soft living, women in tech, and self-care.
I also love connecting with other moms, creators, and founders who are building intentional spaces and communities.
