Rising Stars: Meet Keyaira Chiplin of Spring, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyaira Chiplin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into entrepreneurship and ministry began with a personal transformation. I was raised in the church and always knew right from wrong, but like many, I strayed while searching for identity, love, and control. I found confidence in my sexuality, my body, and my boldness—but deep down, I was disconnected from purpose. Everything began to shift when I chose abstinence, not just from sex, but from anything that distracted me from who God called me to be. That decision led me into deep healing, clarity, and a desire to help others do the same.

Out of that healing came Becoming His Bride, a ministry for women becoming whole in Christ, and Eight18, a luxury Christian brand rooted in Deuteronomy 8:18. I wanted to create something that combined faith and abundance—something that reminded believers that prosperity isn’t just financial, it’s spiritual, emotional, and personal. Eight18 started with faith-based jewelry and is expanding into fashion and lifestyle products, all designed to empower purpose-driven living.

Now, I’m working on building The Purpose Collective—a community for faith-styled creatives in Houston to come together, collaborate, and create content that inspires and uplifts. I also offer resources to support women on their faith journey, including the Becoming His Bride journal, the Grit, Grace & the Ghetto devotional, and my free Becoming His Bride eBook. Everything I create flows from my own story of transformation, and my mission is simple: to help women heal, embrace their identity, and boldly walk in purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—hence why I wrote a devotional called The Grit, the Grace & the Ghetto! This journey has required a lot of unlearning, healing, and growing through pain I didn’t always see coming. There were moments I felt disqualified by my past, overwhelmed by purpose, or stuck in survival mode while trying to build something meaningful. Ministry and entrepreneurship both have a way of confronting everything you thought you had healed from.

It’s been challenging, especially doing it all while walking through personal transformation. There were seasons of financial uncertainty, self-doubt, and isolation. But I’ve learned that grit gets you started, grace keeps you grounded, and the “ghetto” moments—the raw, real, messy parts—are where God meets you most deeply.

What’s kept me going is my relationship with God, the support of a strong faith-filled community, and the vision He gave me that won’t let me quit. Every challenge has shaped the message I now carry, and I truly believe the struggle made space for the story.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear a few hats, but at the heart of it all, I help women heal, rediscover their identity, and walk boldly in purpose. Through my ministry Becoming His Bride, I create faith-based resources like journals, devotionals, and eBooks that speak to real-life transformation—not just surface-level change. I’m also the founder of Eight18, a luxury Christian brand where faith meets fashion, designed to remind believers that prosperity and purpose go hand in hand. Alongside that, I share my journey on YouTube, where I vlog the real, day-to-day life of a Christian woman who’s still healing, still struggling, and still trying to figure it out with God.

I specialize in vulnerability and transparency in Christ. I’m known for saying what many are afraid to say—especially when it comes to sex, shame, confidence, and purpose. My belief is simple: when you’re honest with Christ and with the world, healing can truly begin. I don’t just share the polished parts—I share the process. My content and resources are raw but redemptive, relatable but rooted in truth.

What I’m most proud of is that I didn’t let my past disqualify me. Instead, I turned it into purpose. What sets me apart is my voice, my transparency, and my willingness to be fully seen—because I believe that healing doesn’t happen in hiding. It happens in the light, and I want to help women feel safe enough to step into it.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
When COVID-19 hit, I wasn’t fully in business mode yet—I was in the process of finding my way back to purpose. I had just walked away from my job and made the decision to fully submit and commit to rebuilding my life with Christ. That season was more about becoming than building. It was quiet, uncomfortable, and uncertain, but it was also the start of something deeper.

It was during that time that God first gave me the vision for Eight18. I didn’t have all the pieces yet, and honestly, I didn’t even know how it would come together—but the seed was planted. I spent that season healing, seeking, and learning to hear God more clearly. Even though Eight18 didn’t launch until four years later, the foundation was laid in that stillness.

So while COVID was a global crisis, for me it became a divine setup. I learned that even when nothing looks like it’s moving, God is still planting, shaping, and preparing you behind the scenes.
