Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Sinopoli.
Hi Wendy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started early 2002 when I became a young mom. Taking photos of family and friend conducting themed photo shoots. I have a desire to catch your more memorial moments in still form. I prefer family, kids, and birthday photo sessions. I have taken a couple family weddings, I love the idea behind wedding photography just not one of my favorite style. I am currently conducting a Woman of the Bible Photo experiment. I take ordinary women and we walk you through the lives of some of the most iconic Women in the Bible. I have women who never feel comfortable in front of the camera and show them their external beauty. I have allowed Women to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin. God has gifted me with a desire of encouragement. My God has taken me from a path of destruction to a new creation. I am part of an amazing church family who their passion is to disciple Christians to grow and use their God gifted talents to serve our world. I have many passions one is serving our less fortunate, in outreach and prayer. I am also a mom of 6 beautiful kids from 22 to 2. We live a busy life. I have been married to my husband for over 17 years we just marked 25 years together. I believe in restoration of hearts and new life with Christ.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t think things that succeed have smooth paths. The outcome can be smooth but if you have never experienced a rocky uneven path how do you grow and learn a new better way of doing things. The Lord took me through prison to make me sit and be still. I was a greedy person and had to rely completely on God to change my mindset and make me a better person. I know in my own strength I would still be that same old dried up body of a person barely making it. God seen me, chased me and created me to be the person I rely on more these days then ever before.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a family photography/ creator. My passion is to showcase people in their beauty, in capturing their most raw and intimate moments. Ex. A mom/ dad swinging their toddler on a swing, running in a field, laughing at a park. The candid moments you may not realize you love more then that family photo you took in a studio for Christmas. I will sit and wait time is never a factor. I have 6 kids so you learn sometimes just waiting can be some of your most rewarding images. They get comfortable and you can see their true selves. They are OK with the camera and it turns into a game. I will hold your infant or toddler while you change clothes,a diaper ect. I build relationships with my clients so they are capable of being their true selves and if that means we play in the sand or go down the slide 1000 times to get a shoot I will do that. I love when the family receives their images and never realized I captured a moment they never even seen. I will include you in every step of the way and take your vision and make it a reality.
How do you think about luck?
I have been truly blessed to be able to offer my Women of the Bible Photo experiment completely free. I am always hosting free shoots and pay what you can photo shoot. I love when the family gets their pictures back and now they have a memory they can showcase for all to see.
