Today we’d like to introduce you to Ulisa.
Hi Ulisa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my small business back in July 2020 with Spotify music frames and moved my way up from there. I would jump all over the place wanting to try something new, but I love crafting it brings me peace. I’ve gone through so much, but I’m grateful for all the obstacles, the people I’ve met along the way and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, there’s been plenty of ups and downs. I would say the struggles are what helped me shape my business into what it is now.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am currently a paraprofessional for Aldine ISD and in school to become a SPED teacher. I’m very proud at how I have been able to time manage my work, school and small business schedule. At one point I was working at Pandora Jewelry while doing everything else.. I don’t know how I managed, but I’m here! lol
What makes you happy?
My family, my boyfriend, and being able to express myself through my work are what makes me happy. I love how supportive my family and boyfriend are in every crazy idea I have. Without them, I don’t think I’d be as sane as I am lol. Being creative through my work is so fun, once I am focused I just can’t wait to see the finished product!
