Hi Kenya, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello! My name Kenya Marie. The founder & owner of Fruit Baby LLC in Houston, TX.
I have been juicing for myself for 5 years now. However, Fruit Baby was established in 2023 while undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer at 29 yrs old. A hormonal breast cancer due to my body releasing an excessive amount of estrogen and HER 2 protein. A hormone our bodies naturally produce.
After being misdiagnosed twice, I just knew something with my body was “off”. I discovered a scam lump in my breast which tripled in size in a year. I finally received a proper diagnosis after advocating for myself and not taking “no” for an answer due to my young age, clean medical background, gene testing, and family history! I refused to be turned away from a mammogram.
While undergoing chemo, I gained more knowledge on wholistic health and the human body. I remember telling myself “If I am going to go through these overwhelming medical treatments, I am going to help it help me as much as I can, the natural way.”
After sharing my diagnosis journey on Instagram and being known for juicing and vlogging about the benefits of fruits & vegetables, my audience became interested in purchasing my juice after seeing what it was doing for me.
I listened to some of their stories, their wants & needs. After noticing the lack of healthy alternatives in certain communities, I knew I needed to do something about it.
Fruit Baby was born!
After completely treatment, I had to take time off from Fruit Baby to physically recover from several surgeries for almost a year.
I am now BACK WITH A BANG, doing what I love. Serving the community.
Now offering new services, collaborations, and amazing juice combinations with benefits designed specifically for your needs.
Not only am I juicing to continue to improve my health & wellness but it brings me much joy to see what my products do for others!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been far from smooth starting a business while undergoing cancer treatment & surgeries. As mentioned, I did have to take from what I love to recover for what I thought would be an only couple months but then turned into a year. So this year’s comeback had to be a complete rebranding of Fruit Baby as I worked hard to get back into this loving space.
Fruit Baby has such loyal customers who checked in and waited on our return. We’ve also gained many new customers from collaborating with different businesses around Houston.
Know that the obstacles will come but it’s the journey of overcoming those obstacles that makes your story worth sharing!
