Daily Inspiration: Meet Felicia Carr

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Carr.

Hi Felicia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

There came a moment in my life when I had to choose between staying in a cycle of pain or fighting for my peace. I was married to a man who emotionally and psychologically drained me—manipulation, gaslighting, control, and constant emotional warfare had become my norm. For years, I lost myself trying to hold together something that was slowly destroying me. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t keep sacrificing my soul to survive someone else’s storm.

The day I decided to leave my ex-husband was the day I chose me—my sanity, my safety, my healing. It wasn’t easy. Walking away from a narcissistic partner means unlearning the lies you were conditioned to believe about yourself. It means rebuilding from rock bottom. But that decision became the turning point in my life.

Out of that pain, The Healing Circle was born.

I started The Healing Circle because I knew there were countless women just like me—trapped in toxic relationships, silenced by fear, and unsure where to turn. I wanted to create a space where women felt seen, heard, and supported as they reclaimed their power. It became more than a nonprofit—it became a sisterhood, a safe haven, and a place for women to begin again without judgment or shame.

And then I wrote my book, I Survived My Narc – The Great Escape, because I needed to put words to what so many women endure in silence. I wanted to expose the insidious nature of narcissistic abuse and let other survivors know: you are not crazy, and you are not alone. My book is my truth, my healing, and my offering to every woman who’s ever questioned her worth because of someone else’s brokenness.

Today, I stand in my truth—not as a victim, but as a victor. My pain had a purpose, and that purpose is to guide others toward their own healing and freedom.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been so smooth, i planned my escape for months and everything went off perfect.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Work I Do with Women Through The Healing Circle

At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for helping women heal, rediscover their power, and reclaim their lives after abuse, trauma, and emotional wounds. Through The Healing Circle, I create safe, supportive spaces for women to be seen, heard, and validated—often for the first time in a long time.

My work involves guiding women through their healing journeys with compassion, understanding, and truth. As a Certified Healing Life Coach and mental health advocate, I offer both group and one-on-one support to help women navigate life after abuse, whether it be emotional, psychological, or physical. We unpack the trauma, break down the limiting beliefs, and begin the process of rebuilding self-worth.

I help women:

Recognize and name abuse—especially covert, emotional, or narcissistic abuse that often goes unnoticed.
Heal the inner wounds through conversation, coaching, and intentional practices rooted in self-love, forgiveness, and growth.
Develop tools for emotional resilience, boundary-setting, and healthy relationships.
Create a new narrative—one not defined by pain, but by purpose, strength, and hope.
In our all-women support groups, we focus on community and sisterhood, reminding each woman that she’s not alone. We share stories, we cry, we laugh, we grow—and most importantly, we hold space for each other to heal.

My mission is to walk alongside women as they rise from survival to thriving, helping them rediscover their voice, their vision, and their value. Through workshops, events, coaching sessions, and heartfelt connections, I serve as a guide—but the women I work with are the true warriors. I just help them see it for themselves. I am most proud when i can help these Women find freedom.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was a quiet storm—soft on the outside, but with a fire burning deep within. I was the kind of child who felt everything deeply. Even when I didn’t have the words for it, I could sense the energy in the room, feel the pain behind people’s smiles, and carry burdens that weren’t mine to hold. Empathy came naturally to me, even when life around me was anything but gentle.

I grew up fast—emotionally mature long before my time. Life taught me early how to survive, how to stay alert, how to be strong even when I was breaking inside. But even in the chaos, I always had a big heart. I looked out for others, often putting their needs before my own, thinking that love meant sacrifice. I was a helper, a listener, and a fixer—trying to make peace in places where peace didn’t live.

Creativity was my safe space. I found comfort in writing, crafting, and expressing myself in quiet ways. That’s where I could breathe. That’s where I could be me, without fear of judgment or pain. But under that strength was a little girl who just wanted to be seen, heard, and loved without conditions.

Looking back, I know that little girl grew into the woman I am today—a woman who took her sensitivity and turned it into strength, her pain into purpose, and her survival into a mission to help others heal.
