Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan & Martha Vee.
Hi Dan & Martha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started this business before the pandemic 6 years ago with a passion to provide more then basics beauty training skills to any new beauty techs that is wanting to enter this awesome field of work and artistry. It actually started as a joke really. I was working at a beauty supply shop and I’ve run across some many customers every single week that tells me the beauty school they go to really is not good at providing the training skills they need and preparing them properly. So after hearing so much complaints I told my customers jokingly… let me open a beauty school one day and shut yall up and all the complaints. Well after that my wife actually started a mini training class in the back of the supply shop. After seeing the success and the tears of some of the students my wife and I felt a great sense of energy telling us we probably do need to open a school and help any students that has been ripped off from other schools to come to us and get the proper training. So without any knowledge of how to operate and manage a school or any good amount of money in our bank accounts to even start a business my wife and I decided lets go for it. Even though we didn’t have the skills or funds to proceed with this project…. my wife and I had a strong sense of energy that God is telling us to do this. Which seems super crazy when you think about. No skills and no large funds to even start, but with the faith we have in God we went for it! Though we didn’t have the funds God found a way to fund the project for us. Everything was going smooth until then we got close to our grand opening day. March of the pandemic year we couldn’t even do the grand opening and during that time my wife and I was shocked, but with our faith in God we know everything happens for a reason. So we put it in God’s hands. Sure enough during that time when the city was shut down and all the people losing jobs and such… it created opportunities for a lot of the jobless ladies out there to venture into the beauty industry. When we were finally able to do our grand opening day I was speechless at the end of the day. Our grand opening had so much supporters that we had close to 200 students sign up that day. For a beauty school that has no reputation or credibility,… God had bless our business with so many supporters. Fast forward until now we are still growing strong. Our school is known for quality training. Even though our price is higher then other schools, people that are willing to pay more will get the better and quality training they are looking for. Most of your typical schools out there only teaches straight from the books, which is not enough proper training to prepare the students for what’s to come on the actual field when they graduate. We are a Vietnamese and Spanish owned establishment and everyone that works here is family. So the vibe here is welcoming and our instructors are really here teaching with a passion to help people not like other schools where instructors are there to just collect a check. With that being said are success to this business is due to the way we teach and prepare our students for a better future in this beautiful beauty industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not a smooth road at all. Since we had no experience in how to open a school and do all the paper work and getting everything started and it was our first business we had a lot of searching and digging to do. I try to reach out to a lot of people from schools to business owners and what not to get answers and such, but they weren’t really helpful at all. So my wife and I sat down one night and prayed to God to give us the resources and guidance to completing this project. After that things just started falling into place.

We are a state license beauty training school for Hair, Nails, Facials, waxing, and Lash. We offer advanced and experienced quality training for all things beauty. Our specialty is in nails and facials. Our establishment is know for in depth training in nails, facials, waxing, and lashing. We are proud of the high success rate of graduates learning and semi-perfecting their trade at the end of their program. There are many reasons that sets us apart from other schools, but the number one reason is that all of the instructors here are family and that we teach with a passion to really want the students to succeed and perfect their trade.
