Meet Sarah Korus of Cypress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Korus.

Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career as a photographer, chasing moments, and stories and that love for storytelling has shaped everything I do. Today, I run a company that helps brands, creators, and small businesses show up online in a way that’s clear, compelling, and true to who they are.
I’m a Texas-based travel content creator, a millennial mom, and the kind of person who loves turning a road trip into a story (and a solid Instagram caption). What started as a passion for documenting adventures with my family has grown into a business built on strategy, storytelling, and style.
Whether I’m creating a content series like “10 Texas Road Trips Under 10 Hours,” managing social media for clients, or helping others tell their story with heart—I believe in making it meaningful, beautiful, and connection-driven.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was trying to find balance between my full-time corporate job, being a mom, and content creation. For a while, I was trying to do it all—and honestly, it just wasn’t sustainable. I was burning out, and the creative spark that I loved so much was getting lost in the chaos. That struggle ultimately pushed me to take a big leap and go full-time with content creation. It was scary to leave the stability of a corporate job, but it’s been the best decision for both my career and my family.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve been really proud of the partnerships that align with my values and storytelling style. One standout was a Road Trip Spring Break campaign with Motiva/76, which was such a fun way to highlight family travel. I also have an ongoing partnership with Primary, a kids’ clothing brand I love—not just because of the quality and colors, but because they truly value representation and real-life families. And as a Texan, it’s been incredibly fulfilling to partner with small-town tourism boards like Georgetown and Brownwood to showcase all the charm and adventure these destinations offer. Supporting local communities while doing what I love has been a dream come true.
